What issues, if any, are common with the OEM side cases? Obviously, they’re not built like Jesse’s, but few are. Are the OEM side cases top-opening? My current bike (not a Teneré) has bag guards. With an ST, if the bike goes over, are there armor options for the rear, or the bags just suck it...

Diehard FJR rider. But the Tenere was runner-up when I was replacing my 2014 FJR. Looking forward to learning about the platform.
