    Bought a Suzuki DR 650

I use the mesh cover in summer and switch to a lambswool when its cooler. The seat is double foamed for my legs, along with lowered and rearset pegs. My frame and engine numbers are original, but I broke the frame a few times, so reengineered that, and added longer travel Ohlins up back, allied...

    Bought a Suzuki DR 650

My DR650 is my forever bike. Its gone over much of Oz, now with over 160k kms, albeit a bit of a grandfathers axe as it evolved. My S10 is our travel bike, and mine if I just have to get there ASAP bike. And I just got an inbetweener, an 800 MT-X for variety. Then, for snottier stuff that's easy...

Need advice about a electric wiring to HEALTECH THUNDERBOX TB-U02 please

We have a positive and a negative connection for electrical stuff. One of them, usually the negative, is referred to as earth, which I guess is a legacy re higher voltage stuff. Whatever, on our Teneres -ve is aka earth. -ve is typically a black cable, but not always. Anyway, I got a reply from...

Need advice about a electric wiring to HEALTECH THUNDERBOX TB-U02 please

Cheers, and this is as per the book. My question though is "Is it necessary to earth the accessories via the Thunderbox, or doesn't it matter?" It doesn't appear to be necessary, but..... I've also asked the Oz importer, so maybe I'll get a definitive answer soon.

Need advice about a electric wiring to HEALTECH THUNDERBOX TB-U02 please

I did do a bit of a test. My test suggested that there is no need to earth through the Thunderbox. Also the extra sitting voltage of the Lithium over a lead acid battery didn't trigger the Thunderbox, nor did attaching a lithium specific trickle charger. To activate the light I had to...

Need advice about a electric wiring to HEALTECH THUNDERBOX TB-U02 please

Hi Guys, I've acquired one of these and fitting it to one of my project bikes, not my S10, I'm wondering about connections. Do the accessories connected to the Thunderbox need to be earthed through the Thunderbox for any reason? The earth input and output on the Thunderbox seem to all be...

    Battery maintainer through the cigarette

I run a pigtail with a CTek charger maintainer. Just in front, the little black box is an Anderson plug/socket. One of these. I have them on all my bikes, and mates have them on theirs too. Hardly ever used, but dead easy to connect bikes together, or access a car battery for a jump...

Valve adjustment - more lessons learned

I had all the gaskets on hand, but reused the old ones as they were fine. Of course if you don't have them, you will need them.

went into a CFMOTO dealer in France

The 450s are getting excellent reviews and many sold here so far, with a backlog in the order books. Seems like a good thing that suits a lot of people.

went into a CFMOTO dealer in France

I acquired a CFMoto quad a few years ago, the value equation sold me, and a great no bullshit dealer. A few quirks that I addressed and its been great for what I got it for.

G'day from a bit up the hill in Numeralla. We live in a fabulous part of the world, and ADV riding is the cherry on the proverbial.
