Thanks for the links. After viewing I was able to get the top box off. I had to really pull the latch out to get it to release. I was afraid I was going to break something. Is this normal?

I've had the Yamaha Top Box and Side Boxes installed on my bike since I purchased it. I rarely take them off, but I decided to take a solo ride the other day and I could not get the Top Box to come off. The latch would release and I could pull it out, but the box would not budge. I just traded my 2009 KLR for a Raven Tenere. There is really no comparison between the two, other than they are both made in Japan. I've only got to ride it for a little over a hundred miles, but so far I couldn't be happier.
