Got a new Super T and I'm trying to keep the windshield clean and scratch free and here in Florida that's a real challenge with all the bugs we have. Any tips for cleaning the windshield and not scratching it? Thanks.
Invisible Glass. And a micro-fiber cloth. For bugs, I spray it on before her bath. Then wash it off along with the normal wash. $4.99 at Harbor Freight.Got a new Super T and I'm trying to keep the windshield clean and scratch free and here in Florida that's a real challenge with all the bugs we have. What if the bike is pretty clean and all you want to do is clean the windshield? Do you spray this product on and wipe it off with with a micro-fiber cloth?Invisible Glass. And a micro-fiber cloth. Thanks. Never heard of Plexus but I'll check it out. In the past I have used just water and a micro-fiber cloth and the windshield still gets scratched.I was browsing an aircraft surplus supply house and came across a product called Plexus if you can still find it. And never use paper products on plexiglass or similar.
Also use it on visors, etc. I guess what I actually do for the fairing is use dishwashing liquid and water and sponge to get the crap off, then finish with the plexus. It leaves a nice finish and is slick and seals the plexiglass or whatever it is.Thanks. Never heard of Plexus but I'll check it out. Wow, never heard of anyone using Windex on a motorcycle windshield. Has it worked well for you?
Yup. I use this exclusively on every window I have, bike, Jeep, and house. No streaks and absolutely clean. I used to use paper towels, but the microfiber cloth works much better. What if the bike is pretty clean and all you want to do is clean the windshield? They already answered for me...but yes, and not just on the windshield...I cleaned the entire motorcycle with this, the synthetic leather of my vehicles, the dashboards too and practically everything at home I clean with this (I buy it in cans of 5 liters)…Only on the windshield, you have to spray…wait a few minutes, spray again and remove with paper towels, without pressing too hard to avoid scratching with a hard part of an insect…Wow, never heard of anyone using Windex on a motorcycle windshield. It's been around forever; got turned on to it almost 25 years ago. Kinda pricy but good.A big tick from me for Plexus also. Makes it easier to clean bugs off with dishwashing liquid then reapply Plexus.
Yeah, the stuff that smells like someone took a dump in it.I use the brown water and the scrubber at the gas station pumps
