A one off built from steel by a craftsman, sadly now passed on. Cut out with a 4 inch grinder.
I can't take any credit for the building or attaching. I went to work to pay for it.
Brake on the sidecar wheel, comes on before the bike rear brake to help pull around left handers.
For right hand turns I use the bike bar lever - front and back brakes operate without the sidecar brake. Good way
to use the bike's linked braking system to help with turns.
Makes any ride more technical and for me, more interesting.
Of course, if you look at it technically, this is a terrible thing to do to a fine motorcycle.

Mt Lemmon via the Oracle Control road. About 6 miles from the top, there was a Road Closed sign, but the gates were open, so on to the top. There was some other traffic, but it was rougher in spots than I recalled. I took the highway down and took Redington Road back around, avoiding the dreaded Tuscon traffic.
Zipliners where the road starts.

That peak is where I'm headed.

Looking back down at the trail.

Near the top

Top of Mt Lemmon, overlooking Tuscon.

Looking back on Redington Rd, about half way.

Ocatillo alley. Normally just thorny sticks, this time of year put on leaves, and nice orange blooms.

At least they saved Summerhaven. It was bustling yesterday. They are even building more.
I assume that Summerhaven is some kind of resort. Same rules in forest fire fighting here: save people first, buildings second and the forest goes third. It is logical but looking at those burnt hills is shocking.

Yes, it is a little Alpine resort at the top of Mt Lemmon. The fires last summer burned all around it, including right up to the fire station where the control road comes out on top. Fires here in Arizona have been especially bad the last three summers.
