There is a lot to explore in this area, with little traffic, and it's centrally located.ouachita national forest area ,borders Arkansas , lots of trees ,water and wiggly lines. has promise.
There's a lot of positives here.

Seems like the most sensible approach.Identify who would be willing to organize and let them decide.

If riding the Ouachita's check the area around Mena, AR which is about 60 miles southeast of Wister, OK. It holds the Christian Bike Rally (CMA) every year and is some of the best ATV riding in the state. There are several campgrounds, IMO, that are better locations than Lake Wister.lake wister state park borders Ouachita (p 5 on a Oklahoma map ) has 20 tent sites ,cabins ,and pull throughs with full hookups . and there are others scattered around , and probably have some private campsites around also.
I have attended the Sturgis rally 8 different years and one thing for sure is there are plenty of reasonably priced campgrounds in the area, I believe that’s just one of the things that helps make the Sturgis rally so popular. Here is a place near Sturgis, and seems to have reasonable rates. $20 per night per person for tent, or dry RV.

Thoughts?
This is how our WeSTOC rally’s work. WeSTOC was originally set up for Honda ST owners, but as those bikes are now discontinued , we’ve carried on with many different brands and models just the same. Next year will be our 25th anniversary rally.Identify who would be willing to organize and let them decide.
