Just wanted to pop in here and say hello to everyone, my name is Josh and I was a Tech at a Yamaha dealer for 13 years. The Tenere I am riding was actually assembled from the crate by me and sold to a local customer that added the side cases, taller windshield, skid plate, and the crash bars. He brought it to us at the dealership for services so I being the only tech actually did every service and accessory installation on this bike since it was new. Long story short it popped up for sale about a year and a half ago with 11,xxx miles on it so I bought it. Currently sitting about 400 miles shy of 30,000 miles as I daily drive it, rain sleet hail and snow she is a daily driver.
Recently had a stiff spot pop up in my steering neck bearings so ripped into that and found the lower inner race had cracked, just before that I tackled the valve check which was pointless as they were perfect in spec, other than those two little deals and a intermittent no start which some silicone spray in the key switch and fresh grease in the side stand switch bike has been flawless
