HAAA That's what I wanna hear. Am I correct that June is best? to get away from the Bugs? I have no real preference which way around I go.I am in.
I was hoping to go this year but time went by quicker than expected.
I would like to do it counter clockwise. L’anse meadows and gros Lorne on the way.
VERY COOOL.. I wouldn't ride the s10 Without 50/50's if you want to get of the road at all you end up on dirt, they give my way my confidence. The 80/20's seem to be nervous on dirt and gravel compared to the bite the 50/50 has.I rode that route through Labrador in July 2014 on my KLR, but also added 5 days around Gaspe and 2 weeks in Newfoundland. Used 50/50 Michelin tires and no issue with bugs.View attachment 60021
For me personally. I'm way more comfortable on 50/50. Even when there is very little dirt, they just give me that extra bit of confidence, I started using them on my Quebec trip. Which was mostly asphalt. But on those sections of loose gravel I was glad I had them. I have used the 705's and they as you said are nervous on loose gravel.I am sure a 50/50 would be better for some sections, but many have done it on pure street tires with no issue. I think I watched a vid last year where a couple did it on their Harleys. One was running a 883 sportster.
I currently have 705's on my bike and although I do not care for the feel of the front on gravel if they are still in good shape I will most likely run them.
