Propsoto and Defekticon-

I had a nice afternoon ride with the Nushield installed. I am happy to report that it works great. There is now zero glare or reflection coming from the instrument screen.

If you are going to order one, make sure you get the Triple A anti-glare version. I had the other version (dayview) before and it made the glare worse. I will post a link to it below:

Does it completly fit the dashboard?
Or is it just a rectangel? (so the corners is not covered)
Or maybe a rectangel that needs cutting?

It is a rectangle with the corners cut off. It fits the screen perfectly. No modifications are needed, just clean the screen and follow the instructions carefully.

Got motivated to finally do the folding shift lever conversion today.  Woodcraft tip.  Easy job, hacksawed the pin off, a little bench grinder action, drill and countersink the hole, bolt up the new folding peg with blue 242 and might as well clean and grease the pivot point while I'm at it.  Even got in an oil/filter change and diff oil change while I was at it.

Turned over 40K on the bike today!!  Rode up to the Tapoco Lodge for lunch and had an awesome view of the Cheoah River.  Then rode the Tail of the Dragon!  Also installed the Yamaha wind deflectors.

I finally installed the STS self-canceling turn signal system I bought over a year ago. Works great, but better instructions would have saved me a lot of time. Better yet, they could develop plug and play kits like what Healtech does for their speedohealer. It works pretty well. I had so much fun watching it self-cancel I never forgot my signals!

Had a productive day yesterday...

- Pulled the front wheel and dismounted/remounted my Mitas E07 (with bead sealer) that has been leaking between the bead and rim.  Rebalanced the wheel, checked front brakes and wheel bearings.
- Used my newly fabbed steering nut socket to check the torque on my steering stem, which I found was out of spec (too low).  I suspected as much as I noticed symptoms of such late last season.  Dropped the triple tree while I had the front wheel off and checked the top and bottom bearings and races.  All looked well, so I repacked the bearings with grease and reinstalled.
- Pulled the rear wheel and checked wheel bearings and brakes.  Cleaned the rear caliper sliders and piston as allot of gunk had collected over last summer.  Checked the balance of the rear wheel and added weight as required.
- Removed the rear diff and driveshaft.  Cleaned up the hub and shaft splines and added new moly grease.  No play observed in the u joint.  Diff fluid not due for a change for another 2500 kms.
- Removed the rear swingarm and checked the needle bearings, which were very dry and definitely required repacking with grease.  Cleaned and greased all pivot points on the rear suspension.

Road for an hour in a massive downpour home today.
Bad thing it was the first rain in months so the roads had lots of oil leaching to the surface. ???
