The limited space is the worst part. It makes it very difficult to get the valve cover off, and back on with the gasket staying where it needs to be.How much of a pain was it to do. Doesn't seem that complicated tbh. Just alot of work.
This is the second time it has been done. I found that if you remove three fasteners holding the brake lines, and zip tying to the left side of the frame, the valve cover will come straight out with no twisting. The limited space is the worst part. I need to do mine soon! Birds sit on the edge of the wind screen and poo down it while I am at work!Gave the old girl her first clean since I don't know when.
What’s Eugene?I do not know where to post this here but if anyone is looking for replacement OEM side cases or parts for theirs there’s a set off of a 2017 S10 for sale on Eugene OR CL right now for $50.00.
Use a caliper? What size is the dash accessory bar on a S10? 12mm?
Why don’t I rephrase the question as I work as a machinist and am intimately familiar with using measuring devices (including calipers) on a day to day basis…Use a caliper?
Thank you.Mine measures 12.8mm.
Fair enough, in that case the answer for the gen2 is in the picture, good luck with your project. Why don’t I rephrase the question as I work as a machinist and am intimately familiar with using measuring devices (including calipers) on a day to day basis…
Could someone here please confirm for me that the diameter of the accessory bar on the S10 dash is 12mm? Currently my bike is parked inside my friend’s garage about 10 miles away. My friend is working out of town today and rather than drive over and make the measurement myself right now I thought it might be easier to ask the question here on the Super Tenere forum where quite possibly someone knows the dimension of said accessory bar off the top of their head. I want to order a GPS mount for an incoming Garmin Zumo XT, thus the question. Thanks.
Yep… that’s the face I madeEugene, Oregon, USA, Earth
