Im not a super Tech guy. I might use some wrong terminology... Let me first say, Over the last few years Ive seen these "tablets" start to pop up around and I personally kind of poo-poo'ed them............. While on the Idaho BDR, one of our riding companions had a "tablet" on his bike. As...yamahasupertenere.com

So, I've put a few rides on it so far this year and can say that I have permanently removed my Zumo XT, tossed it in the closet, and hardwired the chinesium screen mirror unit. The only issue I have with this unit is that the music start/stop/advance button on my Cardo unit does not function with this setup...gotta use the touch interface on the mirror unit. This is a non-issue for me as the touch screen is super bright and very responsive, even with heavy gloves on. On the upside, this unit has a graphic equalizer function that really lets me tweak the sound output to my liking.
Bye bye Garmin!
Trying my best not to be snarky.......post a picture or 2 please.....which one did you buy?

Originally used the USB pigtail that comes with it to see if I liked it, just recently (last weekend, actually) hard-wired it to an ACC (key switched) power wire. She's a permanent fixture now.good one!!!!
So I did some research (again), how did you set your up? Straight to the battery or on the key switch? I have used GAIA a good bit but I am now wondering what happens when you lose your cell service.
My wheels are turning in my head......are you headed to Cabin Fever in MO?

Regarding losing cell service:
1) GPS does not require cell service (but you already knew this)
2) Gaia makes it super easy to download off-line maps to your phone (so do the other apps, I always make sure I have recent downloads of areas I intend to travel in).
Not going to make the MO rally but I am planning to do the Romney event in May.

I was looking on Monday before I traveled for work, it was listed at $229. So, I made the purchase, back home now and it will arrive today. Pretty excited......
Good to hear about install and initial thoughts. I have not recorded any tracks, so can't speak to that issue. As far as locating anything in Gaia, I've found it comes down to how you have organized your stuff (tracks, routes, waypoints, folders, etc.) and getting past the learning curve of navigating around in your saved items.installed: so far I like it, pretty simple and super bright
GAIA: so back to navigation on the APP. I looked for my tracks and it is a PITA. Also, does anyone else have issues when recording tracks, IE it stops recording as you use the phone for other things.....

@patrickg450 , I bought the 7" Carpuride a few days ago, no trouble pairing my Samsung Galaxy S21 but having trouble getting my Sena SRL to pair up. The Carpuride shows the SRL as found but won't connect, SRL just keep beeping as if it hasn't found anything to pair to. Can you offer any advise?installed: so far I like it, pretty simple and super bright
