As above, anyone installed this or similar?

Just got mine all the way frm USofA and installed onto the S10.

Works all fine together with my Sena SMH10 when stationary, FM streaming in stereo..

But problems comes when on the move.. FM Stereo output becomes muffed until I come to a halt due to traffic lights..

Tried the shorter antenna but still same results..

Unit is power via switched fuse block from Eastern Beaver PC-8.

Anyone has any other ideas what causes this?

Does it have a speed sensor of some sort, one that raises the volume to match speed? Perhaps it's not connected, or sensing backwards some how...

Hi @Don in Lodi, the unit's direct plug and play. no speed sensor that I know of.
All necessary connections have been connected sans the external speakers wiring as I don't use them. Those wires were proper terminate and insulated to prevent shortage or so.

I did this review with the FJR and really liked the radio, apart from the size.

I had the BT model on the Tenere, no issues at all.
Hi @becoyote,

1) May I know how the antenna was mounted?

2) Is there a grounding wire for your current antenna? If so, hw is it mounted?

Mine has black sub-frame and I have a hard time locating a clear un-coated surface to ground the antenna wire for the long whip.

I swap back to the shorter rubber antenna which does not hv the grounding wire.

I've no problems for the reception all over my country, just that the stereo to non-stereo streaming bugs me abit..
