Hi,

had a Blue 2013 1200z Worldcross edition for about 6 years. Probably my best bike in 25 years of mbike riding. Wish it was a bit quicker but then i think you always do after a while no matter what you got. Its pretty standard apart from the worldcross bits and bobs.

Hi Rob,

tks for the warm welcome. interesting to hear you got the ECU done I’ve been thinking about it for a while. has it removed the restriction in the lower gears? where did you get it done in Brizzle? I’m only up the road in Gloucester. might do the can first, have you had any issues with the RS4?

Cheers

Mike

hi mike,

yes and a big yes i,ve had the bike 10 yrs now, thje first year with the restrictions in the first 3 gears i was going to sell it, it wass horrible, but did a bit of research and chris down in bristol is a demmoned with ecu and dyno work, i,m a hour away from bristol, so i rode the bike to him, he said we would get better results with the oem headers removed and a can , i already had a k&n filter and yoshi on it, so he had 4-5 hours with it on the dyno, he gave me the keys and said you,ll enjoy the ride home lol
And wow its a different bike

oh just to say the yoshi RS4 was on the bike a year before the dyno work with standard headers and filter no issues with the can on a standard bike

You will benefit more from an ECU flash on the Gen 1 Super10 than the Gen2 and yes, it should remove the restrictions in the lower gears. The company is CJS Racing and they are probably the best in the country.

Ace tips, tks guys! if Chris is the guy for flashing ( ;-)!) will probably drop him a line. there’s a 15pc discount at some stores on fleabay today including resellers of yoshimura and akrapovic so im a bit tempted.

Been meaning to take mine. Still got my Arrow downpipes to fit too, but want the bike set up with them. So I’ve just mailed them to see if they’ve any slots available next month.
Hopefully they’re a bit better at communicating than Wiz is. Gave up on him.

Ended up texting Chris this morning to which I got a reply. £450 to do a tune now. Bit more than expected. Having a think about it.

There’s an Akrapovic end can in the for sale section which is located in the UK if you’re interested Mike

Chris will load a suitable map without dyno tuning for less, if you wish. My understanding is that Grant at Wiz uses FTEcu, which locks/encrypts the ecu to their software (Woolich Racing and Dynojet's PV3 are the same), whereas Chris uses proper tuning tools like WinOLs that still allow the ecu to be remapped or reverted to stock by anyone who has such tools, and which don't leave any digital footprint either.
