Installing tomorrow on my day off

never ever believe that . I hit a guy 3 years ago on a sunny morning ( I was not on my bike , which is loaded down with extra lights ) I was in a 18 wheeler with all my lights on for safety . he turned into me like he never saw me . he was lucky not to have been killed .People can miss you then pull out right in front of you. Now with these lights... there is no way for thst to happen again.
I'm always expecting them to try and hit me. I did have a person turn left into me a couple of years ago in WV. I had on low beam Headlights but they are a very bright LED and bright driving lights on my wing. Broad daylight, 2 lane and no traffic. Came within an inch or less of hitting me. I moved over as far as I could as Icouldn'tgo further because the shoulder dropped off and there was a telephone pole 2' off the road.never ever believe that . Wow. What a story. He wasn't thinking! Last week in December a person dud the exact same thing to my son. He's ok but car was totalled. I don't ride as much in the city anymore.good morning tenereguy ... understand "never" ... common to use that word . I "never " thought that guy would kamikaze into my truck . but he did .
I am a truck driver by trade , 48 years of safe driving (about 45 years accident free till 3 years ago ) when on a beautiful fall morning about 930 am he turns to cross in front of my truck ... he aint going to make it ... I scream nooooooo , and pull wheel to right as I try to get on the brakes . BOOM ! my hood flies up , I'm trying to hold it straight but feel it pulling hard left . I basically do a 90 degree turn and cross over the highway into the trees and the truck rolls over . all of this in a few seconds . from impact to stop about 200 ft . truck laying on its side with me hanging by my seat belt . that I only had a sprained thumb was because of the seat belt .
now the guy that turned left is only alive because I pulled it right trying to miss him , hoping he would last second stop , but he didn't . my left front bumper hit at his right front wheel ,when the hit should have been his passenger door . the impact sent his little pick up back across the highway into the other ditch . We both ended up on the same side opposite of the where we impacted . my truck pulled left with no ability for me to keep it straight because the impact pushed my steering Axl back about 2 feet .... it was going left no matter what , the tire tracks show that till I came to a stop I was only on 9 wheels , that is why I turned over . loaded 18 wheelers don't like 90 degree turns at 50 mph .
that guy got (he was not wearing a seat belt ) thrown across his bench seat so that saved him some more serious injury . had I impacted his door he is probably playing a harp .
I am an extra vigilant driver always have been , he was sitting in the turn lane ,when he decided to go . he was no more than 50 feet away when I saw him start to turn , and I screamed or yelled noooooo. will never know what he was thinking , that's the only "never ' im sure of .
you cant trust any one out there , and the drivers seem worse and more aggressive . crazy . im as calm as a cat at the dog show when im on the highway , times 2 when im on my motorcycle . I have cut back on riding because of that accident . and as I grow older (66 and about to retire ) I wonder how much longer I will ride . .......
we do the best that we can , stay alert , never trust anyone on the road , but sometimes " crap ' happens .

Which harness and light control did you install with the lights? I'm also looking at getting a set of these for my ST1200. Did the standard hardware fit onto your crash bars or did you need to purchase some other mounting hardware? Thanks.Denali lights mounted on Trex crash bars
The yellow lenses make them nearly impossible to miss but I still have had a few very close calls with left turners.

Thanks for the info. The thunderbox link is not working. I'll try again later.www.thunderbox.com watch the video.
everything else came from Denali, that was 2-3 years ago, 30,000 miles later everything is still working like it’s supposed to.
Seems like the prices for quality LED lights has gone crazy lately.

Target fixation. Like drunk drivers driving directly into parked cop car with its lights on.try not to blind the other driver , he might run over you anyway .
That works, thanks!!
