For Sale MRA Vario Windscreen
« on: October 27, 2017, 11:42:51 am »
I have a MRA VarioTouringScreen Windshield for Yamaha XT1200Z Super Tenere '10-'13 Color Smoke Gray, Twisted Throttle # MRA.06.061.VT.1. I bought it in May 2017. It improved the air flow, but not quite enough for me. I am 6"3" tall. Another inch or two would have been OK for me. Paid $160.00, sell for $110.00, including freight to lower 48 states. Like new condition.

I'm interested.  How does it compare size wise with the OEM?

OK, so I'm measuring things that are curved, so my answer is not admissible in court.  :)  The original windscreen, which I think is original, since I bought the bike second hand, is 17" tall and 16" wide at the widest part. The MRA main part of the screen is 16" tall. The spoiler adjusts up and down about 7". With the spoiler all the way up in the highest position, the total combined height is about 23".

Is the attached spoiler/deflector something that can be removed from the screen?  Perhaps removed and placed on a different screen?

The spoiler is attached with four small bolts. Removing it would leave 4 small holes in the main windscreen. You could mount the spoiler to another windscreen by drilling the 4 holes and reusing the screws. The windscreen and spoiler are tinted.

Not interested, but where you using the stock mounts?  I had that screen with a madstad adjustable mount and loved it. I’m a little shorter though. The adjustability was great.

I have a MRA on my other bike and it really lets you tune in the air...
Still available?
