Straightforward. You have to get past being afraid to cut some wires. The main hitch was that the wire colors were different than the STS instructions indicated. I wasted time trying to find them in the harness and eventually ended up opening the switch housing to find the right color wires. Once I had That figured out, no issues.

Nice to read this. I've had the STS for several months and have yet to brave up to undertake the install (and I spent 4 years USN as an electronics tech, go figure). I got a good package deal on the turn canceller and brake light modulator and the latter was a super simple install under the seat. Trying to muster the courage to cut wires (of some color, lol) and open up the switch housing to place the pads.

No need to cut any OEM wiring, just order matching connectors and pins to build a jumper to insert between the OEM connectors.
The installation can all be done between the jumper connectors. Where they tell you to cut wires and connect to STS wires, just Insert STS wires in the appropriate jumper connector. All other wires will just jumper straight across between the jumper connectors.
