Ok, ok so it's not really cruise control but it's as good a way of relieving hand cramp as you'll get for $20-or-so, IMO
I have just returned from a 2 week riding holiday in the US and borrowed a bike from a friend.
He has one of these fitted to his bike and I got one the second week for the bike I was using.

I used it for 4 days riding round Lake Superior and I think it's great. When you need to cover distance, some of the roads in the US are ... ahem ... less than inspiring and setting it at a constant speed helps with resting the throttle grip.
I bought one back to use on my Tenere. I used it today for a quick ride out and it works fine. Even with the aftermarket Oxford heated grips already fitted to my bike.
For touring, I'd say it will be very handy. I'll find out in just under two weeks as I'm off to Romania for two weeks. I'm sure the European roads will be another good testing ground for it.

Read the instructive warnings on the listing and if you're at all unsure, don't use one. It really is as simple as pie to turn the power off, just back off the throttle like normal!

Just thought I'd share.

I have a go-cruise and it's nice to rest your throttle hand for a few minutes, but it doesn't hold the speed for a long time. I've had mine for a couple of years now. For 20.00 it's fine.

yah nothing short of a unit that ties into your speedo will do that. uphill you'll slow down, and downhill you'll speed up
I have the precision-machined adjustable one and it is well made. I find that it does not work well if you have GripPuppies but is efficient otherwise.

I've got the original non-adjustable model and it's worked fine with Grip Puppies on the S10 and w/o Grip Puppies on my BMW. I use the rubber ring that comes with the Go Cruise on both bikes.....

I have various throttle locks on various bikes, but over time, I've come to like the GoCruise the best. The price is unbeatable and you can transfer it from bike to bike in seconds. I've had no issues with slipping on the S10 with the stock heated grips. They ship it with a sleeve to slightly expand the throttle diameter if you need more grip.

I sell four different kinds of cruise control/throttle locks at the store and in my opinion the Vista Cruise that has been on the market for 25 years is still the best. When fitted and adjusted properly, it is on & off with just a flick of your thumb.

mine broke after 2.5 weeks - it's junk in my mind.
The plastic version ($20) will inevitably snap and is not worth buying, but the precision machined version ($35) lasts and has adjustable friction.

I've have the plastic version for three years, used on six or seven different bikes, installed/removed tens of times, and easily done 35K miles - not the slightest problem. And even it it was to break tomorrow (which I'm not expecting), I've easily gotten $20 of use out of it.

What size do you order ? 1" or 7/8" ??
These size measurements refer to the handlebar diameter (at the grips) which is typically 7/8" on nearly all bikes except Harleys and some metric cruisers. Unless there if something very unusual about your setup, you want the 7/8".

I was using a bike in the US with 1" bars so that's what I bought out there and brought back with me.
With the little rubber band thingy fitted that comes with the Go Cruise onto Oxford aftermarket heated grips, mine seems to work ok.
I'm fitting Grip Puppies this week (when they arrive) so I'll see what happens then
