I just got back from the dealer, (SG Power for you Victoria folks), and they confirmed yes, my 2013 is part of the recall. They are going to order the parts and are good with waiting until May when I insure it again for me to bring it in. I inquired about getting charged extra as I noticed someone was, but was assured if I brought it in stock, I would not be charged for anything. That means I'll have to remove the extra upper crash bars I've added to the stock ones. Not an issue.

Not sure quite what you mean here? There is a recall on cc/front brake switch? I finally got mine into the dealer and had it replaced yesterday (front brake switch), but he didn't say anything about recall. I also don't know why you would have to remove the crash bars? If we're talking about the brake switch, that shouldn't have anything to do with anything. Or not... I'm easily confused these days.

Sort of the wrong thread here. There is a thread about the recall for Gen I bikes. It's limited to a specific range. mcycle-nut's post has nothing to do with YES warranty, per se, and he's Canadian, so different recall procedures.

So what dealer has the hot deal on the warranty plan now?
Same one as always, D&H Cycles in Cullman, AL. Be aware that you must call them to get the YES pricing. It is not on the web page, nor will they respond via email with pricing. It's worth the call and they make it easy to do.

Received this in the mail today20493452-4BAF-431A-A343-728EBFB80EE5.jpeg859D41E7-5EA4-42AD-B738-74376ACE4558.jpeg

Then called D&H Cycles. Well worth the call. Added 4 years for less than $100 a year.

I’m not usually one for extended warranty hype but this is cheap insurance/peace of mind.

My 12 months isn’t up until August but I got this out of the way today.

I just called D&H for a quote. Great to deal with. I hadn't received my mailer yet and I'm due to expire in August, so I figured I'd call. No Problems and fixed right up!

Mine is due to expire in a little over a year. I think I heard it can still be extended?
Yamaha has been sending out offers to extend the 4 year YES another 1 or 2 years. I got mine when I had maybe 6 months left on a 4 year YES plan. Once you have the card, you can call D&H and they can verify eligibility and give you a price on adding more years.

You may or may not be in the system for this now. D&H asked me for the verification number or something like that off the card I got from Yamaha. They may be able to look up your VIN in the YES system and see if you are eligible.

Edit; I'd wait until you are under the one year point to worry about it.

Jeff,

Mine is expiring in August. I haven't received any mailer. All that was needed was your vin. D&H can look you up to see if you are eligible.

Just renewed mine for two years. About the same cost as the real diff deals that were leaking and covered.
