Hi guys,
going to buy a sena prism tube helmet camera, its a 5v camera. I asked their help desk to make the battery last longer in the camera can i mount camera to fairing on the bike instead of helmet and use a power cable from camera to my 12v aux socket.
they came back with no the 12v socket would damage the 5v camera OK , but then after the chat desk went off ithought i asked it wronh the standard auxillary socket is ok i think as its for sat nav camera etc as it runs a 3v fuse.
So am i correct the 5v sena camera with the righ lead into the back of camera and into the auxillary socket would be ok, and the camera would be charging while riding so the 2hr battery life would be longer i hope anyway.
the chat line did say that i could have the camera mounted on the bike and have it connected to a iphone powe bank in a tank bag etc and the iphone power bank would keep the battery charged and used longer, but i have no idea what a iphone 5v power bank is and where to get one on line.
any in put would be great lads
thanks
rob
