Gen 2.

ALL THE WAY.

Heated Grips, Cruise control ( you will wonder how you ever lived without it) And the electronic suspension is nice. What I have found is you are more likely to adjust for conditions with it. All you have to do is press a button. Of those 3 extras the one I could live without is the electronic Suspension but have come to appreciate it. Besides its a package deal. That sort of thing happens to me when I buy a car. I get things I am not after in order to get what I want. Its cheaper to get the package instead of à la carte

by the way the gen 1 is registered in 2013 and used only 70 miles but 7 year old bike
Thing is i would rather have it being used a bit. 7 years is along time sitting around. By the time you have had a good look at it the saving is lost. Gen 2 all the way but i am bias.

That bluing could easily be from the bike just being run and brought up to full temperature too many times while sitting. No airflow over the pipes, they're going to discolor.

i can,t get my head around the price of the gen 1

rob
The Gen I seller is a liar. Not a very bright one at that. It's a 1st Addition, not a 50th anniversary. Rather large difference. Dumb bunny probably looked it up as a 50th anniversary and that's how he came up with the price. Be a peach and offer him £1,169.50 for his abused 7 year old bike that needs full service, all fluids, new tyres and possibly recall work done.

Looks like the seller either runs a re-sale business out of his house or it's his personal bike. I bet whomever owned this bike fired it up every week and let it idle for 30 minutes, but never rode it much, if ever. That would explain the headers.

Yeah, if you're buying, go for the Gen II. :D :D

When I saw that he was referring to it as a 50th anniversary. . . . I knew the rest THAT ad was going to be B.S. And, the second ad. . . . "brand new"? What year brand new? On the Yamaha website 2019 & 2020 are white. If it's a "brand new" that's been painted/wrapped. . . . that's a red flag to me. Since it was bimota asking the question, if figured it rhetorical anyway. :)
