I know the bike is way undersprung but after running around with no less then 35 lb of crap on the bike I stuff off. The turn in much better and it nose dives less. The suspension is now better on the freeway and have it set to 4/7 rings of preload on the front and max on the back. The of this weight is going to be removing the jesse racks, all my tools and air pump to the front of the bike some how. Maybe a tool pouch toward the bottom the alt rider lower crash bars so they wont turn into a crash bag. Also some of the tools towards the windscreen area.
I had my 2015 S10 loaded up with farkles, it got quite ponderous, sold it with everything on it (for other reasons). When I got my 2017 I decided I was going to keep it as light as possible. So far just a Pelican Air top case (very light), Outback Motortek crash bars (only 10#), currently looking for a light duty skid plate for occasional gravel or forest service roads. Eventually I want to get the Wolfman rackless system for when I need to haul luggage. Probably add some aux lights, and that's it.
Been thinking about starting a thread for lightweight add-ons for those who want to keep things lite.
