I will see if I can find some info on the place. They have constructions on both sides of the road. Completely abandoned one side of the road and mostly abandoned on the other side but with a large corral full of cattle. There was no one around to ask.

I found out it belonged to a Mexican singer named Joan Sebastian (a guy) who wanted to build an elegant hotel there. Part of it is a ranch and his house. It also has or had a plane which he was going to convert to a restaurant. He died before he could finish the construction. It is now for sale but tied up in legal problems because of Covid.

He bought the plane to fly his musicians to shows in but it had mechanical problems. He ended up transporting it from the airport in Mexico City in 3 pieces by road to his ranch.

I went for a little spin today. I left home early on what for us is a cold day at around 11C. I put on my heated vest and grips on. It got a bit colder but I was toast. One of the roads I took was in bad shape with a lot of potholes and mud. I stopped at the top which registered just over 3,600 meters. The temp was down to 6C but while it was damp there was no rain. I was only riding for a couple of hours but it was a nice ride.
I am off to the airport this afternoon to pick up Henry who is flying in from the UK to continue his journey South on his Harley Rig. He left it here in March 2020.
