Looking for some guidance on replacing the windshield bracket on my 2013 S10. Long story short: toppled in the sand, went over the bar & took the windscreen with me, splintering the bracket. Got a OEM replacement from Yamaha & now realize that replacing means removing instrument panel & headlights (?).
Please let me know if there is an existing thread on this & where to find it.
Better yet, if you've done this, please let me know tips & problems to avoid. If someone has a video of the disassembly/re-assembly, that would be amazing.
Cheers.

OK replying to my own post for benefit of future readers.
Replacing the OEM windscreen bracket requires removing the cowls on both sides, instrument panel, & headlight.
Unfortunately, the way the headlight wiring runs through the bracket, it also requires unplugging the lamps. Rather than risk broken plastic to pull apart the front & rear of the headlight box, I pulled the gasket where the wires enter the headlight unit & withdrew the wires through that hole. It was a pain to fish them through again to reconnect but a lot better than having busted attachments on the housing.
It took me several hours & an extra set of hands now & then to balance the different pieces dangling here & there.

I’m getting ready to replace mine in the next week or so. Someone hit the bike with their car in a parking lot. Thank god I have crash bars but the windshield broke clean off. We’re you able to find any kind of walkthrough on taking it all apart?

Sorry to hear of your misfortune (we've all been there with clumsy cagers). I never did find any guidance online & hope my brief summary offers some help. If you need specific help let me know & we can figure out how to communicate without this interface. Best of luck!
