Heads up to anyone who gets the J&J...recent reports seem to indicate that its only 60% effective against the delta variant. I just spent a solid week recovering, and I'm not 100% back to normal yet.
Well that just sucks! Sorry to hear and hopefully the vaccine at least diminished how bad you might have been knocked down, but of course there's no way to tell.
Hope you can get back to life too and of course now you'll have those natural antibodies.

Moderna's stock has been rising today since they found it also effective against the Delta, Beta, and Eta variants. Pfizer and Astra Zeneca had similar announcements several days ago.
HOWEVER These were lab data, not population data.

Update:
Talked to the daughter unit and she said J&J was 60% against the ORIGINAL not the Delta. They are still trying to get enough data to determine Delta efficacy.

I hadn't heard that there were different percentages for the different variants. The J&J has always been the least effective, according to the media. Last night the media put out that the Pfizer, and Moderna vaccines. . . . might remain effective in a person for years. I'm not sure that I buy that. I know they're learning things on a daily basis, but, from maybe a year. . . . to years? It would be nice. . . . . if true.

Glad you're feeling better. Did you actually have the Delta variant?

No way to know for sure. Today was the first day I really felt "normal" so any testing at this point will be unlikely to determine that. Also, it's gotten much harder to get a test here, although I do have some home tests arriving tomorrow.
