I saw a documentary that showed ventilators being sold on EBay and states bidding on them were pushing up the price hugely then towards the end FEMA started bidding on them and pushed the price even further! Surely federal government is supposed to step in to assist states with federal resources not become competitors?
Haven't heard much about ventilators recently, but unfortunately that is just what happened last summer.

Go for it, you lucky fellow.
I'm in Canada, a country sadly without any leadership at the present time...socialism, ah yeech.
Sure, help people when they are down, but why help people who have no interest in helping themselves.
Remember the words of The late British Prime Minister, Margaret (Maggie) Thatcher, "socialism is great, until you run out of other people's money".
These Robbin Hood governments are popular with some, but they are clearly not sustainable.
Ah, sorry to reveal my political stripes.
So, I thoroughly enjoyed my 2018 Super Tenere for two seasons, 46,500 kilometers (29,000 miles) and if were younger and stronger I would buy a new one in a heartbeat.
For now, In my dotage, I will ride my DR650 and Honda Africa Twin DCT.

Liberty Sentinel are a radical right wing group of extremists who include convicted UK racist Tommy Robinson. Nothing they say can be believed. Tommy Robinson (real name Yaxley Lennon) is a nasty vicious piece of work.

And he is backed by the Russians to do so.

I received the second shot (Pfizer) 2 days ago.

No side effects whatsoever from either shot.

Damn it feels good - not only because I don't have to worry about getting infected and are less likely to transmit the virus, but also because I now have done my part in stopping the virus :)

I got my 2nd Moderna shot on Wednesday. By Thursday afternoon, I had moderate upper body aches. Ibuprofen took care of them, and by Friday evening they were gone. But, yeah, the 2nd shot was definitely worse than the 1st. Looking on the web, this is common. There was no explanation though.

I'm still going to take precautions though, because: 1) It's only 96% effective. 4 out of every 100 people will still get covid. 2) With the additional versions now floating around, I'm not going to risk it. But, yes, I am taking comfort that it should be pretty unlikely that I will contract the virus now.

I'm looking forward to the day.
I've been teaching EV fire fighting to fire departments and asked one of the Chiefs if she could fit me in. Didn't get farther than an eye roll.
Forgot to mention that even though she only gave me a smile and eye roll, she added something important. Since I can show I'm teaching both for the fire departments and NTSB Academy, I am able to change my status up from just 65+ to Teacher. That's a big step forward in line and teachers are in the next tier for where I live.
Fingers crossed.

I’ve had the first Pfizer jab and was due to have the second one last Sunday but it got cancelled due to the government wanting to space them out more so more people could get the first one. I hear the AstraZeneca jab produces far more side effects than the Pfizer jab but none serious

So, one of the stories/rumors going around about the vaccine, is that the Government is placing a microchip in it so they can track people. o_O If this is true. . . . this should put an end to "Silver Alerts" right?

I got my first dose of the Moderna yesterday and am tickled to have gotten it. I have absolutely no symptoms. I expect that to be a little different when i go back for the second shot in a month.
You are correct. My wife was in tears with the chills, aches & pains by mid-morning the day after. It took me until mid-afternoon, and it was just moderate body aches; upper body only. Good news? Gone by evening of the second day.

So, apparently people are hearing about the second shot, and taking preemptive ibuprofen, prior to the shot. They are saying not to take it before the second shot. Wait until the aches start. They are saying that taking it pre-shot, diminishes the effectiveness of the second dose.

By the way, both Pfizer, and Moderna disclosed the second shot impact in their report for approval. Nothing hidden.

Don T, what criteria does Denmark have for vaccinations? Is it age, (over 80 years old and front line medical workers first?), region or what? I am assuming that you have had your vaccinations within the 21 day period stipulated by the manufacturers? Here is U.K. they are doing by age and they are having the 2nd shot 3 months after. I think the U.K. Government are hell bent on using the vaccine to get the numbers up with no consideration to the recommended period between the doses. I am 67 and I probably will be lucky to get my first shot by April.
