I know what you mean. Black is the colour that I normally opt for. I have a black FJR in the garage so the blue XT is a nice change and contrast for me ... the two bikes stood together look like a bruise ;D

Lol, strange about the FJR as that was the bike I was buying in the new year (also in Black), but then I had a test ride on the Tenere and prefered the riding position and looks.

This will be my first adventure bike so looking forward to it. :)

I sure hope, I test rode a few bikes this year including, Truimph Sprint ST, Triumph Tiger, Yamaha FJR1300, Kawasaki GTR1400, KTM 990SMT and finally the Yamaha Super Tenere. Out of everything I rode the Tenere seemed the best all rounder (in my mind anyway). I have never laid out this much money on a bike before so just taking my time to consider all options... and of course wait until the Black is released!

The bike is currently £13'500 in the UK, there is also a rumour that they may increase in the new year (we have a 2.5% VAT increase plus whatever Yamaha decide to add on top)

Oh well only time will tell..

Yep another price increase and the dreaded VAT .... you have to be real sure about what you want these days as mistakes turn out to be expensive experiences. I suspect that quite a number of dealers will go to the wall so be careful with deposits.

Yeah the prices of Jap bike has risen big time in the UK over the last 18 months and dealers sure don't seem as busy as they have been. I won't be putting any deposit down until easrly next year anyway as still waiting on confirmation of UK colours for 2011 and non First Edition prices to be released.

More waiting...... ???
