Ok guys and girls, this event is not far off now. Romney Cycles (WV) will be providing amenities and camping space on Friday May 18, and food/drinks/amenities and camping space on Saturday the 19th.

I'm looking for approximate numbers right now, so please chime in if you think you are going to be able to get there

Loose plan would be to show up Friday, camp, get dinner in town, and socialize back at camp. Then ride Saturday - we have some people on the list who know some good routes - then back to Romney Cycles for dinner and drinks. Sunday head home, perhaps via the British and European bike show in Clarksburg, MD. http://classicmotorcycleday.org/

I'll throw this on the front page when I get a free minute. Thanks for your efforts in getting this started.

I'm still a definite maybe depending on the gobbler forecast. May well be a last minute decision.

Looks like I need to back out, due to son's college graduation. With any luck I'll be able to stop in, but am not expecting it. I was looking forward to this.

Unless something changes, I have a good shot of making it on the morning of the 20th, but that's it.

Talk me into it. I have the time off already, because I'm supposed to go to a different gathering in NC that weekend. If the weather looks more promising for WV, I might change my destination.

I would like to make this event. I have a couple of weekend events planned before this already that will require at least taking off the Friday before. It's still a definite maybe for this one, but won't know until it's a little closer to d -day.

Even though I probably won't make it:

Slightly closer.
Great roads through the area.
Pretty area to camp.
Great support from a big dealer.
Should be a great group.

How'm I doing?

I'll be there. I have a 200 mile route loaded in the GPS that includes the muddy road seen in one of my past videos. I'm not sure if all the roads I selected are open, but I'm going to try to check it out before the event. Just an option, I'm not tied to any specific route and will be open to other ride suggestions when we're all there.

Looking forward to it.

Great! I don't have any routes in mind, but I have part of one, hoping to check it out this Sunday. Last time I did it, it was Fall, and steep bits, wet leaves and mud made it a little challenging. If it's dry it should be plain fun!

Definitely NOT going to make it after the S10 took a deer hit. Looks like a rebuild with all major components. But since mine is the only S10 that my dealer has seen I think I'm going to make an appointment to see TJ at Romney to have him check it out once it is rebuilt. I'd guess it to be a good overnight camping stay if I give to him mid-day Friday and pick up by end of business Saturday. Just sound like Romney has seen enough S10s to know when something is right or wrong.

Terry,

TJ does awesome work, and is extremely attentive to detail. Eric, the service manager, is very cool about camping overnight... I spent this past Sunday night camping right by the service entrance at Romney so that TJ could do the 26k service on my bike.

If I can make it I Gotta do 42 up to Mt storm!
42 is one of my favorite banked roads near home. Here's the basic route I had put together as a possibility.

It's Rt42 up to Mt Storm, over to Rt 72, down a long dirt road next to the river, then going through Seneca Rock. I've put arrows on the part about which I'm not certain. Although they are on the those roads can sometimes be private and locked. Worst case would need to take Rt 93 all the way to Rt32. Not a big deal.

Again, this is just one of many possibilities of wonderful rides around the area. Can go almost any direction from Romney and find a great ride.

I would like to make an attempt to attend this event. My home town is only 13 miles from Romney. Just started putting goodies on the S10 and would like to check out some that are fixed up. I'll see how things go here in Ohio and try to attend.

Looks like you've got a good ride layed out, should be a blast ::003::
