You didn't sandwich the hang strap, did you? Because yours is definitely kicked out further than mine is.
Sandwich the hang strap? Not sure what that means but you can see how it's mounted in the first photo of post #77 in this thread. I just used everything the way it came out of the box and per the instructions. I didn't modify anything.

Must be nice that you got instructions. Anyway, I'm not indicting Delkevic, I, in fact, love my exhaust. Disregard the dust, I haven't washed it yet and ride it year round, so it gets dirty.

This is the way I installed it previously. I am running with the baffle since day one.

It is much further "out" than previously.

Hey guys, it's so hard to find good photos videos of aftermarket exhausts for this bike. A lot are about the Arrow and Akra, I dont like the look of the Arrow and the price of the Akra is insane, its the price for a complete exhaust line. I'm looking for something subtle that can almost look stock, sounds deeper, and doesn't melt the bike....

So far this is within my final selections (but still not sure it won't melt the bike):

I ran into a similar situation when I was looking. I ended up with an Akra and glad I did. It is pricey but the craftmanship, fit and finish is outstanding, IMO better then OEM by miles.
The other positive about the Akra is the sound after breakin, it does need to breakin before it get its true note, low throttle rumble yet quiet. I get alot of comments on the sound of the Tenere, not knowing it has the slipon. Personally I like the stealth of quietness when traveling but also love the rumble of power even though it is just an ADV bike.
You pay for high end, in some cases it is worth it in others not so much. Switching to a slipon is a personal touch as really nothing wrong with the OEM setup.
For me everything came into play, I wasn't going to waste money on a system that looks out of place or causes issues, nor becomes annoying in the long run.
I suspect the Akra will last as long if not longer then the OEM system, so you buy it once. JMO

I've had exhausts from just about every brand from Arrows to Akra to Yoshimura, Two Brothers, GPR and can't say I've had issues with any of them. GPR was actually the most underated exhaust, the quality is on par with the best of them, for a fraction of the price. But on the ST the angle looks crooked. The MIVV Speed edge really fits the lines of the bike and it's half the price of the Akra. Price aside I think the Akra looks great and it's definately a good exhaust. Just can't get myself to spend that much on a slipon...and the stock one to me just sounds so uninspiring. The Arrow exhaust on my Africa Twin increased the smile factor by 95%.

Hi
There is a shop here (Italy) that sells the Arrow for 375€ which is the best deal I could find around.
I was about to buy one myself but with the price of fuel going out of the roof I thought I'd be better if I kept the money to fill up the tank...

Ordering from Europe or the US at the moment is killing me, duty fees, currency conversion, etc..
375€ sounds like quite a reasonable price.

Yeah, I've seen a few good prices on eBay on Arrow cans, but they are coming from sellers in Italy and so I don't know what the good old USA may tack on in terms of import tariffs. Anyone have experience with that?

Thanks

Motorcycle parts and accessories bought abroad are tariff free in the US (with the exception of North Korea and Cuba). I’ve bought items from Moto storm in Italy, the visor shop in the UK, DL Bike Protect in Spain and FC Moto in Germany. Never a problem.

Yes, this is true. Gotta be careful ordering gear for sure. Sometimes you can get enough of a discount that re-selling something here can be a break even for you. I did this with a pair of Gaerne Dakar boots that turned out to be too small. I re-sold them here at a wash (it was still a good deal for the buyer) and reordered a larger size.

I ordered my full Arrow exhaust from an Italian supplier off Ebay. No issues and they actually had a distributor in the US. I believe my exhaust came to me from TX. I assume it ships out of Italy and then from US distributor to customer after received from Italy. Also warranty claims would be handled out of the US distributor, so no issues there (though I had zero issues with my exhaust).

I don't remember the name off the top of my head (I can check receipts if you'd like), but I do remember under their Ebay ad it mentioned they had a US distributor and thats why I chose them in case I had any issues with the exhaust.

No issues with exhaust, perfect fitment, a little loud for me and I keep the decibel killer installed. Even after ECU reflash the open core style exhaust was a little much with no baffle and the bike also ran better with the decibel killer installed.

Hope this helps.

Thanks, good to know. I've bought some sub-$100 items but not anything running like $500 so I didn't know if there was a threshold where tariffs kicked in.

No threshold that I’m aware of, one of my orders was ~$500, (Givi Outback top box, mounting plate and crash bars) from Motostorm. Would have been about $750+ buying in the US. Only about $30 shipping.
