I took these pics today. This is about a big forest fire that happened about 15 years ago. I took the first pic in a place where the fire did not reach. It was a pine tree forest. Many people think that this forest is native, that the pines were always there. It is not. The pines were planted in the XIX century for the resin. Several factories were built and hundreds of people worked on collecting the resin. Later, the resin lost value, the factories were abandoned an the people lost their jobs. As you can see in the second picture, after the fire, the forest is recovering its true look. It is a mixed forest with pines, oaks and holm oaks as we can imagine it always was. We could say the the nature has taken the landscape back.
