I remember when I was a kid, and we were living in the state of Washington. My mom brought home horse stew meat. Same thing, old horses die, and not wanting to waste the meat. . . . But, down here in Texas? I'd hate to see the response; different folks, different strokes. Dougbug is right. There would be some group protesting it. There's a group here that are mad because birds are flying into wind turbines. I would think only the dumbest ones.

Well then, hows the taste?

Makes sense not to waste the meat but in the US the animal rights groups would probably have a heart attack if they saw Elephant on the menu.
Too much lol down here

Love the CB1300 (or is that a 1000) my Dad had one in that same color when I had my nighthawk. I’ve never seen that fairing on one before tho. I was in high school at the time and we were living in Thailand. The bike has been imported from Japan but was the same color. You’re in Canada? Is or was that bike sold there at dealerships? Or did he have it imported?

Oregon (IL) to Dixon via backroads, back to Rochelle to grab the moto tag.

Tested out my new to me heated gear. Home after dark. How often do you end up going a little further, then have to beat it home?

Had a great weekend of riding. Weather in NJ was Spring-like. Mid 70s.

Van Sant Airport in PA on Sunday. Don't have any worthy pictures of the Tenere but the planes were flying and cool classic cars kept rolling in and out while we were having lunch.

Hope you all got out if you had the chance. Warm weather gifts all weekend. Ride safe.
That Vette is one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

So how is it getting in and out? How safe do you feel there? How long were you there?
Spent about two weeks & traveled ~2,500 miles. No issues in/out. According to published requirements, you may be asked to show documentation justifying your travels. In our case, we were looking at some real estate and coordinated with a local realtor to supply a letter indicating this activity, but we were never asked for it. As for safety, we felt welcomed throughout our travels. As a general rule, we try not to ride after dark, but that's as much a decision based upon road hazards like dogs, livestock, potholes and impaired drivers as it is any concern for other human elements that might threaten safety. Mexico is an amazing country, with amazing culture & people - but it tends to get a poor representation in US circles.

Did you find some relatives? We were just over at Ss Peter and Paul by Talleyrand last week, looking up some of my wife's anscesters who came over from Germany.

I was out checking on an old Mx track that I used to race on.
It's all grown up in weeds.
Someone built a house right at the entrance to the lane to go into the track, I had to ride right in front of their house but I never got shot at so it worked out.
This cemetery was down a dirt road off the gravel road to the track so I've probably drove past it a hundred times and never noticed it before.
I thought it was very cool.
