The leaves were coming down as if they were a blizzard, while being wet and slick, from last night's rain.
That trail definitely challenged my riding ability, as well as the tires: Dunlop Trail Mission.
That's what I meant by hardcore.
A S10 on 60/40s, 70/30s is certainly a big girl to maneuver over and through ruts like that with a nice top coat of freshly fallen, wet leaves.
I know the Tail Missions are classified by Dunlop as 50/50s but IMHO they are not, they are more like 60/40s or 70/30s.

they are not
I agree.
I almost face-planted in a couple spots. It was only some fancy footwork that saved the bike and I. Both were front tire slide outs, while i was up on the pegs.. After that, I was waddling through anything I suspected to be mud.
If those ruts were any deeper, they would be impassable. I was scraping the outsides of the ruts with my skid plate, in some places.

No snow yet. Mornings have been in the he low 20s. Too cold for me. Going to have to start heading south.

Actually, the snow would/will be north and west; Amarillo area. It's rare that central TX gets snow. There'll be a day or two in January or February that we'll get our annual ice storm. A few days later, we're back in the 40s. Easily a 12mo riding season. We pay for it during our summers.
