Beautiful weather here, and went on a 200 mile ride in the back country along the Tennessee and Kentucky state line. I think I set a new personal record today on the number of times I was chased by dog's.

Yesterday took a little time to myself and got out for my first Christmas day ride in the 21 years of living in Texas.

Went down to Whiterock late. Not the most amazing place in the world to ride. But I still enjoy it. And with only 2 hours to spare, it made for a great Christmas Day ride.

About 1 week ago I when to corbin seats HQ about 2 hours away from san fan to have my seat adjusted. The owner said I could tour the shop. I ate at there in house restaurant. Also camped at one of pismo beaches campgrounds. Total 2 days, 700 miles and hwy 1 there and 101 back to LA.

exactly what kind of adjustment did Corbin do for you ? I happen to use a Corbin seat on my Tenere, it’s mostly pretty comfortable but I wish it wasn’t so slippery and a slightly softer would also be nice.
i have also tried a couple other brands of seats but for me the Corbin seem to work the best. Tenere is the first motorcycle I ever owned that I wanted To switch seats on.

Within one year of purchase you can have one adjustment done. I had a tapper done to the front making it narrower and changing the drop of my leg. It took about 3 hours. Per the tech more major changes can be done and from the sound they dont charge. Sounds like yours is down to choice of material. If I would have done it again I would have gone in person to have it built and test out a seat to see if I like the material and thickness etc. Mine is just right when it comes to grip and it feels very soft imo. I think its vinyl if I remember correctly.
* in response to your second question yes the stock seat sucks if your over 180lb and I think the day long seat with the wings would be a better choice if you do more then 3 hour rides. This seat is still much better then stock by a long shot but I still have to move around after 2 hours.

I had to take advantage of the 51 degree day in December. Did just under 100 miles today. Better than no miles.

Was talking with someone who lives near the church amd they just received these statues. They are in 3 section. Base, column with who it is (can see some of them behind the bike) and the busts. They are going to make a memorial park across the street from the church.
Have fun and ride safe, Tom

Yesterday evening, I siphoned as much of the ethanol-laced gas out of the tank of my S10 as I could and refilled it with ethanol-free gas, plus fuel stabilizer. I wanted to ride it for a while today and get all the ethanol out of the FI system and warm it up good to cook off any condensation in the crankcase, but a storm was blowing in early this morning, so I took it out for a nighttime ride last night before the rain started. It was a damp 37 degrees and windy. First time I've ridden in weather this cold in decades.

Put on a hoodie and a heavy Carhartt coat, my Rocky hunting boots, a pair of insulated gloves, raised up the windshield to the highest position, zipped hoodie and coat up tight against bottom of my helmet, turned on the grip heat, and off I went. I LOVED it! I stayed out longer than I had planned. Hands stayed toasty warm with the grip heat set on 2. Had on a pair of Wrangler jeans, with no base layer underneath, and knees got a little cool, but not enough to send me home. Everything else stayed warm, also. I could have easily ridden a couple hundred miles, but didn't want to worry the wife too much, so came home after about an hour.

I'm definitely going to do more cool/cold weather riding.

Trick is to ride side saddle so you can draft the hot air from the radiator side on both legs not just one.;)
