Hate is a strong word/emotion but it has crossed my mind. Talking about your lousy 70's degree weather. :(
I feel your pain. :D With this past "cold" front, our LOWS have dropped into the 70's. . . . at 4am. And, it's not like it's a dry heat either. :)

*kicks feet on patio table, sips ice tea* Yeeeeeeeeap, sure is nice out here. :)

Relax, it'll be back up to 95ºF by Saturday, heat index over 100, though we don't have your humidity. Girlfriend is from South Texas, calls it Satan's Asshole.

Yesterday, it rained at my house. o_O It was clouding over, and my wife asked if it was going to rain. Nope. . . . 0% chance for today. Weather Channel, AND the locals said so. So, I grabbed MY chair. . . . sat in my shop by the door. . . . and it rained for three beers.

Yeah, your weather and ours is pretty close; 100 by Saturday. North Texas never used to have the humidity that South Texas did/does. . . . it does now. A couple of weeks ago, NOLA had a Hx of 110. . . . ours was 111. North Texas should never have anywhere near the Hx of a swamp. I'm starting to be a believer in global warming.

We didn’t get that Far East. Did you go over Bear Tooth pass?
Yes! And Chief Joseph Hwy..................we tore them up probably six times last week!
We were camped at Limber Pine Campground for 9 days, just on the eastern side of Beartooth.

Also explored a lot of dirt roads in many of the Canyons around Red Lodge.
I'll post up a trip report in a couple days.

o_O I think respect is the word. For the machine, the rider AND his butt! Bike still looks good, I do agree with you that the bike runs better (smoother) when getting more miles.

keep making those safe miles!

I was close. I tried to post the mileage. I remembered 222k miles. But, I guess I didn't hit "post reply". Butt probably still looks good too. :)

This Friday's ride went over Shrine Pass, thru Red Cliff, up to Homestake reservoir, tried going to Holy Cross City but decided not to because of the rocks at the bottom of the trail. Went up Ptarmigan Pass. Also tried the west side of Mosquito Pass but it was too rocky for just me alone, like the start of the Holy Cross trail. Wound up coming back home over Weston Pass. Saw several large Marmots, dark gray rabbits and a real herd of Antelope outside of Jefferson.

This is the easy part.
