My pictures are, 'as the younglings would say, 'Shite,' compared to the amazing pictures of parts of the country and world you all are sharing. It's great to see what's in each others 'backyard.' Keep them coming to make it through the doldrums of winter. Thank you all.

Took a nice 200 mile loop today with some friends. Stopped to take pictures at the Fable Restaurant somewhere in north Jersey. It's not open until the Spring.

Then stopped for lunch at Rhodes North Taven in Sloatsburg NY. Place was packed and lunch was great.

My Tenere is waaaaaay in the back with hi-viz jacket on the windshield. Hahaha. Was a high 50s day in February. I'll take it. Hope you all got to ride as well.

Short quick ride out to the desert after significant rains yesterday.

I had a better ride than this guy!

Washed the wheels and engine with my deepest water crossing.

I was hoping someone else would come through to see if it was a deep as it felt.

I rode for a couple hours late this afternoon, primarily on gravel, dirt, muddy roads, and some very fresh thick gravel over mud. Was great practice for me since I'm a noob off pavement on this size bike. I'd have blown through it like crap through a goose on my old Kaw Bighorn 350, but that was 40 years ago. Did some dabbing in one gnarly area (eemsreno would probably have ripped through there standing on his head on the seat with no hands, without a bobble).

Was headed in the general direction of a local landmark I hoped I'd stumble across, and I did. The old Salisbury School, a one-room schoolhouse built in 1930, in western Adair County, MO.20200223_163237.jpg20200223_163329.jpg20200223_163723.jpgYou're supposed to write your name on the blackboard when you go in, but I couldn't find any chalk.

Does it get more rugged than the pictures? Any ice or snow? Looks interesting.

It's an easy ride, a few rough spots and washouts. I turned around at 6000 ft because it got too greasy, not another soul in sight. Give it a week to dry up and should be able to get the last 1000 ft to the summit.
