Was watching Chicago FD tonight and somebody was checking gen oil level. When the scene changed I actually hit pause to check out the oil smell in my oil free house.

The things a real world deprived brain (temp -4°f) will make you do.

SWEET Volvo. As an owner of a 1992 740 wagon with ~500K km, i am appreciative of what you have. Ours suffers from rust and the aftermath of hitting an elk (mostly a side impact - smashed windshield, broken front turn signal lens, and a dented passenger front door (hammered out using a 2x4)), but it's still a super-reliable car which may outlive me. Certainly not a heirloom like yours. That is beautiful.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the comment!
I keep it the way Grandpa drove it, dings and leaky seals included. Too many uber restored Volvos around here.
Only 40,000 miles but he managed to literally hit/scrape/nudge quite a few objects only going to church.
He worked for the Swedish Rail and back then, all train trips were free for him and his wife.
