Installed T-Rex Racing skid plate and engine guards. Went on pretty well, but for left rear skid plate mount, the bracket for which couldn't fit bcz of the GIVI kickstand impeded bolt access. Sturdy, sturdy kit. The hole lines up for oil plug and access to the oil filter is spot on. Engine guard wraps from bottom to top and still allows easy removal of right side panel. Ran out of gas and didn't have time/energy to install new battery, Fuzeblock, or lights. l did order the three plug adapter so there's time to wait for the lights.. There's always be tomorrow.

Ordered Altrider rear rack when I realized the prior owner must have tossed the original plate and hardware so there's only the base piece left.

Going to order Outback Moto racks to fit soft bags for touring as soon as I can get them to reduce a really high shipping cost, if possible.

New rubber. Battleax T32s. They replace T31s. Not really sure of the mileage from them, not something I bother about. I have used T30s and then T31s extensively on my pan European and loved them. Not so on the S10. Just didn't get the same feeling of security on them. Hoping the T32s are better. Certainly have a more aggressive tread pattern. I will report back.

Took a day to work on the bike ('19 S10). Been a long time since I've spent a day like this. Tired but good progress.

Removed GIVI quick release racks and tail rack. I'll be bundling the whole Trekker setup (panniers and top box) and racks for sale with all hardware except the GIVI wrench (looked everywhere). A 7mm hex works to remove or install the QR connectors.

Removed GIVI engine guards and all parts to sell.

I'm also in PA and may be interested in the boxes and racks. Where in PA are you and what are you asking? Feel free to PM me.

Kaoko throttle lock arrived and got it installed and adjusted in about 10 minutes. Pretty nice little addition. Not as cool as an MCCruise, but it'll do for now.

I rode it around this morning only to discover that my factory grip warmers aren't on the menu anymore - which means something is up with the grip warmers that worked fine yesterday.

Finished the install of JW Speaker Adaptive lights as main lights.
I don't like the way they look, but I love the way they work! (They're lined up. The camera man is crooked...) My prior bracket hung under the main lights, but was too weak.

Ugly is in! Who cares how it looks as long as they work great. S10 is not the best looking bike in the world to start with, so a little more ugly on it is cool. IMO

Most likely, you have frayed the wire for heating the handle. It was a bug with the Yamaha. Changed under warranty. This was a problem with 2018 bikes.

I guess I still probably have my extended YES warranty, I could get them to look at it.

I checked the fuse, it tested fine. I just want to find the grip couplers to test them for resistance. The service manual is useless for that for some reason

Meanwhile, the Japanese currency is going down and motorcycles from Japan are becoming more and more affordable)))
A new motorcycle with a mileage of 52 km costs 850 thousand rubles))

lol, I'm edging up to the three years I paid for, I think in June? This will be the first time I've needed to use it and it's on a farkle.
I lied. I only had a two year extended warranty. Oh well. It's in the shop to see if they can replace the grips pretty quick.

Knocked out oil/filter change, final drive fluid change, greased shifter and brake pivot points, installed led headlights using caps from deftoner and those little what ever 194 bulbs with led also. 5904 miles on the clock and many more to go.
