Got a new back pack today. I take a soldering iron melt holes in them and put adjustable bungies through the back pack. They are very handy cheap and hold up as well as any bike bag i have ever had

I've been looking for an excuse to try vacuum forming and the empty space under the rack for my aux tank seamed like a good candidate. Took a few trys figuring out the process, but I'm reasonably happy with the result. Now I just need to figure out what I'm going to put in it...

thereby proving that necessity isn't always the mother of invention.
I really like this. I could see this holding my medkit, paper map backups and other 'only needed when stopped' type items. well done with this!

Thanks, my original plan was to put my tire pump and plugs in there but the pump is just a little bit too big to fit. Tow strap is one option I'm considering, first aid kit might be another option. I'm going to leave it empty until I get a chance to ride in the rain with it to see if water gets in and go from there.

A foot injury has kept me off the bike for the last two weeks. But I am mobile now so I added some highway pegs to the T-Rex crash bars whoopee! But I also added an Eastern Beaver accy harness.
It is an extremely well made harness that is plug and play. The S 10 really has no room for add ons and this was a very quick and painless way to add some juice. Thanks for the tip guys. Now if I can get my damn boot on tomorrow I am outta here!

After many years of thinking about it I finally got around to buying (and installing today) a McCruise cruise control with speedometer calibration/correction features on my old 2012. OMG what a great experience. Easy install, outstanding instructions, and their customer service is unbelievable........when I first started the engine following the install the Super Tenere had a "Engine Trouble" light....I shot a quick email to the factory asking for potential causes. Moments later I recalled that I had not plugged in the air temperature connection on the air box during re-assembly. After plugging it in, no more trouble light....my bad. Shortly thereafter Tony (from McCruise) called from Australia to provide possible causes for the trouble light (he didn't see my follow-up email it which I admitted my error), but the fact that he called...from Australia to NY is just an example of the lengths that these folks go to ensure your satisfaction. Unbelievable! As for the cruise control...WOW !! It is so nice to ride and enjoy the countryside without constantly checking your speed...and the speedometer correction works awesome....the speed now displayed matches the GPS indicated speed. A day well spent for sure !! Sorry if I sound like a commercial for McCruise....just very happy....and now its beer-thirty!
