I will be installing plugs ! I recommend these plugs for your Tenere.

I suggest probably not taking a chance buying them off Ebay. Very good chance they are fake. Several post about this whole topic and plug ! ;)

Treated the Teneresaurus to a 40,000 km service at the local Yama/Honda/Husky shop.
Service Tech Emil is the only one I trust for this (apart from myself ) but it's still under warranty so I do it by the book.
Somehow, the road back from the shop was 3x as long as the ride there!

I bought the OEM part number off of "PartZilla"
Hopefully I got the correct ones (not sure how I would know?)
I plan to install them when I do the valve-check soon.

This is what I received when I ordered them from Partzilla.

Totally correct... It looks like you have the correct stock plug ! The plugs I ordered for some folks are a different part number, different plug all together, different performance, different miles between changing. And a quite a bit of difference in price. If you do happen to stumble across the NGK CPR8EAGP-9 in the USA, please post and let everyone know ! :) Happy Thanksgiving !

I think that with a platinum electrode (P) you only get what is left in stock. It is easier to get from Iridium (I ... IX) which is newer ...

Miles?

24500. Needed to change the thermostat due to disintegrating seal, so seeing as I was 90% of the way there, and 1500 miles away, may as well do them. Three of the exhaust were around 0.17, the other one not quite 0.22. I don't know how tight they can get before mayhem ensues, but it's not something I care to explore.

Had an NGK Iridium just plain fail on my VStrom. Misfired intermittently, then totally crapped out with about 20,000 miles on it. I'm sure that is the exception and not the norm. Just remember they can all fail. I wonder if the premium price is actually worth it?

The price is related
1) to the duration: they last twice (platinum) or three times (iridium) than normal electrodes ..
the platinum or iridium electrode does not wear, so it does not lose the adjust (9) so the ignition is not delayed
2) performance: platinum and iridium have a single spark, normal electrodes have multiple sparks

Stiffened my rear damping to be more to my liking.

Set my compression and rebound damping in the front to be less harsh and match the rear.

Pulled cleaned and lubed the pivot bolts for both my shifter and rear brake levers.

Inspected brakes.

Short way home if only 3x. How did she run?
Total for the day turned out to be a 380 km round trip anyway. The benefit of living far from "civilisation".
The bike ran fine both before and after service (my nerdy tech even shoved me the replaced parts) so the only noticeable differens was the color of the oil in the sight glass.
You must appreciate Yamaha quality as between two generations of XT12 and a total of 160,000 km, I have not had a single issue (knock on wood, touch my forehead).
Side note, this is the third valve clearance check between both my bikes and no adjustment needed to date.
