Installed a Warm and Safe Wireless Dual Controller under the left side controls (thank you 3M command velcro strips) and have ridden the last three days in sub zero, with wind, temps. Before that I picked up a Warm and Safe Generation 90W Waterproof jacket from Phenix (facebook fella) for $170.

Two days ago I somehow managed to connect a new battery in reverse polarity which blew the main fuse. New fuse in place, no start. I'm getting a few pops with the FI fuse out but that's it. Temps are low in my shed, about 40F tops... I can't believe I did this, bike last ran just a week ago and had a slow start which is why I went for a new yuasa 14....fuel is old but I dumped it and put in fresh, probably still plenty of the old stuff in the lines...aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! Any other items I should inspect or just press on hoping she'll catch? How long are we comfortable running the starter motor and how long before we push it again? Thank you all...

Rob, the link you sent refers to a 7.5a fuse for the injection. Is this something different from the 20a fuse I find in my 2014 Gen 2? I can hear the pump run with the 20a in and it stops when I pull it, just making sure I'm not missing something.
So far all I'm getting is a few pops, usually several thumps with the fuse out and then just an initial pop and nothing with the fuse in....

Oh yeah! So it was 7.5a fuse for the 'electronic throttle valve' that was blown. I was looking only at the 20a FI fuse thinking I was flooded and experiencing the dreaded 'hard start'. Thank you Rob for the leads, I owe you a cold one or six!

Installed modified driver & passenger seat that just got back from Mean City Cycles. I had the driver's seat redone with Memory Foam and the passenger seat redone with Memory Foam, widened out an inch on both sides. Haven't tested it out yet but hope to this weekend. Also put my Arkansas reflective decal on that I got from Bighuck.

Ordered amazon kickstand foot enlarger ($19), amazon tire pressure monitor with the water proof cover on it($65), t-rex universal highway pegs($125), painted oem side wind blockers and altrider skid plate with bed liner($19), piaa light kit for car same as bike version but a car switch and no bracket($186), 7/8 - 1 1/2 crash bar mounts($15) and three plug connector w/ pins that is $5 but get ripped off on the shipping which is $10($15). Still thinking about getting a PDM 60 for all my electrical mods which yes, yes I have read that it should be done right away. I'll probably make an update when everything is installed.

Yes, bike is on battery tender and the boxes next to the bike are what he, or other suppliers, have sent to make the FJR his. I might add that the FJR is a very nice bike, road it home from Austin for him, and the only change I told I would make would be to move the bars closer. Everything else felt fine. Hope all is well.

I'd like to know too, I'm happy to do fluids, brakes, plugs but don't fancy doing the valve check, just wondering what the cost of that was.
