Greetings from South Africa!

Took my new ( to me ) 2013 S10 on the gravel for the first time today - early morning, long way to work :)

Handles like a dream, first bike with traction control, I might step down to TC2 at some point.

went from Highway to gravel to twisties and ended up in city traffic - absolutely amazed at how at home this beast is in all circumstances..

tabasco what akra pipe is that?

Its an Akrapovic pipe from a Suzuki Hayabusa... Its actually the (R) side pipe from that bike. I bought it "new" off eBay a year before the bikes showed up in the US. The 'E-Bay seller' crashed the bike, the left pipe was destroyed, the right side was 'new'... I then fabricated the mid pipe and I have run this set up sense 2011.
I get lots of compliments on the sound, people start to ask where did I buy that, they want one. And then I tell them the little story mentioned above. Works awesome, sounds even better !
Folks can get GREAT deals on KILLER mufflers from all types of bikes. Super good deals, then fab up a mid pipe, or have someone do it. Looks good, sounds good, and probably way less expensive that "off the shelf "

Here are some old reference photos if your interested........

Finally accepted it wasn't getting any warmer. Stripped the rear apart for regular greasing and preparation to send the shock off for a refresh.
I am considering removing the remote hydraulic preload adjuster and going with just a normal threaded adjuster. I guess it will depend on how easy to find an adjuster and how much it will cost.IMG_0389.JPGIMG_0396.JPGfullsizeoutput_137.jpeg

Yeah they make the square/round connector fused at 400 amps with the circuit built in for the portable jump boxes to read. I have one on my bike so I don't have to take up space with the clamps. Bonus comes with an SAE adapter so if I do want to hook up a tender or a air infiltrator I can do that off the same wiring.

So I got this cable/connector. Thanks for the lead. Curious where you routed it to and how you "hang" the ends for accessibility. Cables aren't too long. (Too bad the black has the added length, with our positive on the bottom.) I won't use it for tender as I have the coax setup, but will leave the pigtail attached as it has the weatherproof cap.

I ran it out the back of the battery compartment panel along the frame rail there below the gas tank with some zip tires to the rail. Thought about just tucking it in that compartment. But figured if I ever had to jump it, I;m probably going to be in a bad place and not want to screw around, as Id just bump start it if I was able.

I was looking at trying to secure it with velcro where I could reach it from the back of the side panel, but it's a little tight. Pulling the side panel is pretty quick though. Remove the seat to get to the Allen wrench and 4 quick disconnect screws. Going to see if it will reach up by the front of the gas tank.

Replaced my front brake switch. It was sticking (don't understand it because I could hear it clicking off and on but the brake light was staying on when it should have been off only with the front brake lever actuating). Wasn't hard other than getting to some of the wire clamps way down in the cowling behind the forks. Maybe this will also fix my cruise control issue (get the flashing yellow light when disengaging with the front brake lever). We shall see.

Took my new horn back off and threadlocked it. This is the horn, a Fiamm 72112 "Freeway Blaster". It's not the loudest thing ever, but at $16 I thought I'd try it out. All I can say is, at highway speeds I could never hear the stock horn. I can at least hear this one. It sounds pretty nice, not like the apologetic "beep beep" of the stocker.
