Here's video of my 2019 ST with the givi crashbars and T-Rex racing aluminum skid plate installed.

I'm probably going to shim the front of the skid plate mount forward to gap the exhaust form the skid. The T-Rex skid has slotted mounting holes, but the front two large bolt mounts draw it back into the exhaust.

I've since also installed the T-rex front and rear axle sliders. I need to go buy more blue Loctite now.

I ordered an Eibach spring for the rear and a custom spacer from a machine shop for the back of my ES. The stock suspension is too soft, especially two up or loaded for a trip.

Unable to turn off my auxiliary LED lights.
Had a weird experience with the aux lights (three of them).
I installed three aux lights on my new 2018 Tenere this year. Everything worked fine until.....I got caught in the rain recently. I wired the aux lights using the bike's aux light plug located in the vicinity of the battery. I used a 12 volt relay along with a separate dedicated on off switch to control the aux lights.
I shut down the bike after riding in the rain and removed the key. The aux lights remained on, but were flickering.
I checked the on off switch and verified the key was off and removed. These lights are wired using the relay and the bike's aux plug which has three wires, black red and a brown "trigger wire". The lights could not be on unless the key was on.
I did some troubleshooting and fortunately I had the brains to buy a new relay which I plugged into the wiring and presto, problem solved. The area where the relay and wiring was dry and I had used electrical tape around the area where the relay plugs into the wiring. I put it all back together and I placed some sense foam around the relay.
Perhaps vibration was the cause or the relay just went bad.
If I have this problem again and I hope not I will remove the lower panel on the right side of the bike and unplug the relay,.
Has anyone had a similar experience with a relay??
Thanks for any inputs.

SHUMBA, your relay may have welded the contacts together. Do you know the wattage of your aux lights and the amperage rating of your relay?

Watts = Volts x Amps.

20W @ 14V DC would be:

20W = 14V x Amps --> Amps = 20/14 = 1.4 Amps

With 3 lights, that would be 4.2 Amps total. If the rating on the relay in this case was not at least 5 Amps, it could have welded the contacts closed. This happens on dodge minivans for fuel pump relays (Chrysler TIPM module) and all sorts of improperly sized relays. It sounds like the simplest solution to your problem. Of course, the on off switch could also be compromised when wet.

Hi to all!
Todsy was a day to stay at home but I installed a tire pressure device and a usb charger that has voltmeter and temperature!
I think these are devisesthat will help monitoring my bike.
IMG_20190810_185747.jpg The tire monitoring device also has tire temperature!
Tomorrow I will go for a ride to Malinalco, great place to visit.
Have a geat weekend!

I zip tied my spokes together before heading off on a 300 mile trip today. I'll check the torques tomorrow. I also put on a handy dandy TPMS. When I got home, the package in my mailbox was beeping. Apparently picking up the box triggered the sensors and the unit was beeping low air pressure warnings.

That is the same system I have on mine. Just to let you know that if you are on a highway with the cruise on the sensors will go back to sleep after about 90 minutes of not seeing a change in G force. At first I thought my batteries were dying until it happened at about the same place a couple of times and I realized it was time related. Then after I stopped for gas they would work again. So the next time it happened I just slowed down about 20 mph and they came back on.

Are you talking about the rear brake reservoir? On the ES it’s in a different spot and more hidden.

What brand is your TPMS?

Why do I feel a little dirty when I'm cleaning it all up?

Hahahaha
After almost 2000 miles down to NC and back, its about time. Today was the cleaning day. Couldn't take all the road filth anymore.
I find these clean ST's disgusting... Kind of like needing a chocolate bar after getting teeth cleaned at the dentist!
