I loaded the lifeless carcass of my 2013 onto a flatbed and watched her go to the salvage man. A deer sent my bike to heaven and me to the broken bones place. I just purchased a brand new 2015 (in red) which is waiting for my wrist to get well. I have been sitting on it in the basement and making motor noises.......that will have to do for now. The 2015 is dam nice; however, I almost bought an Africa Twin, which I blame on the pain meds I am on.
Sorry to hear that your bike got taken out by local wildlife Corndog but glad to hear that you have a replacement and that you're on the mend. I'll be thinking of you and taking comfort from the fact that it's not just me sitting on a bike, making "motor noises". :D

Walked to my shed, opened the door, stepped inside and looked longingly at my Tenere. Stroked the tank, patted the seat, turned around and slowly walked back to the house under blue and sunny skies. I'm just under three weeks on from open heart surgery to repair a leaky mitral valve, so physically at least, i'm a bit knackered at the moment. I'm also banned from driving anything for the next five weeks, by which time my sternum should have knitted back together. Life mildly sucks at the moment but, as i'm upright, breathing and actually typing this on my computer, i'll count myself as one lucky sod and work upward from there. ::008::
I feel your pain Mikey... Two days ago I underwent bypass surgery.

Thanks for that Brick, feeling yours too. Hope it all went well and remember............allow yourself plenty of time to rest and heal properly. Take it slow and steady for the time being, as there will now be plenty of time ahead for both of us to relish the fun stuff. ::008::

Trying yet another GoPro mount. This time adding the Ram Mount: brake reservoir mount, short connecting arm & GoPro ball mount.

More service work. Changed the final drive oil, installed a new air filter and synced the the throttle bodies. Did the 3/4 turn out on the right side and matched the left with my carbtune balancer. Seems to idle quieter afterward.

Got my Seth Lamm seat today. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow. Here are some Pics. I had some problems getting the front to latch so I'll work on that tomorrow it was too hot and too dark.

Hard wired in my GPS to the PC8. I think I'm finally done with the dash. So far I have my rigid light, radar, 2 extra USB's, and GPS all hard wired in to the PC8. It's been a major convenience for someone who usually really struggles with electronics.

How does the iPhone stay on the X-grip? Do you use the rubber tether?

I've had an X-grip with the rubber and one without. The phone stayed just fine in the one without. Only time the phone came out was when I had earbuds and snagged the cord hard with my hand.

I do use the rubber tether. For mild around town riding I don't know that it's fully needed, but I have zero reservations about the security of it with the rubber tether attached around the corners. I've had it on for about 6000 miles with no issue. I put the phone up just for the pic so the tethers not on. It usually is though.

I will add, for people with 2014+ and the oem windshield bracket, using Bryns windshield bracket supports made a huuuuge difference on stuff mounted to the accessory bar. There is almost no vibration on the interstate at 90 mph when everything used to be all over the place.

Since I moved my X-Grip out to the handlebars (Ram mount under the right side mirror), I had my phone pop out once on the freeway; thankfully, my power cord was attached and kept it with me on the bike! Since then, I added a simple rubber band to help keep it in place.

I have the same setup. Mine has never lost grip of the phone but I also have a large rubber case on my phone. I think the rubber on rubber grip really holds it in place.

Success... I have had my badonkadonk on the Super Tenere Saddle for 160 000 kms, that's 100 000 miles,
5 years, almost to the day, in the making...
A simple congratulations, Barkingllizard. ::008:: Welcome to the 100k club.
