How close is your fender going to get on full compression? The single row bar has been popular.
Really close. I measure 6 3/4” from top of fender to bottom of light. In theory there is 7.5” of travel. However: this bar seems to be no lower than the piaa kit that yamaha sells. I have decent preload set.

So far for the riding i do (pavement + easy off road) its great. Throws a *ton* of light on the trail and doesn’t blind oncoming drivers at night.

I guess time will tell. I think its possible that at max compression they could hit, but i have been over some nasty speed bumps already to test it. So far so good.

I really like this LED light.
You didn't say how many lumens it is.
I'll take a guess between 4,000 - 5,000 lumens.
I have a similar set up. In my picture below the light beneath the bike's headlights is 2,750 lumens and each light mounted on the crash bars is 3,450 lumens.
I have all three wired via a 12 volt relay and they only come on when the ignition is on. In addition, I have an interrupter switch mounted on the LH handle bar because these are very bright and I must turn them off when meeting another vehicle at night. I've had a few flash me during the day, but I just ignore them, cause I know that they saw me.

I replaced the stock battery in my 2013 with a lithium iron Scorpion Stinger. Wow, this battery is awesome! I went with Scorpion after reviewing all the battery posts on this form. Thanks boys for your knowledge and opinions.

Thats a nice setup.

I think my dual bar light is around 2000 lumens.

Changed plugs on the bike today. Was going to swap the paper filter out but found a K&N in there so I just cleaned and recharged it. I dried it on the fan because it was hot in the garage anyway.

The previous owner way over-oiled the filter, that's cast off filter oil and water in an emulsification on the intake side of the box. The throttle bodies were spotless so no harm, no foul. New K&N oil is clear and not red like the old stuff.

Today, I rode the shit out of it!
She sure goes when you tell her to.
Also too, I found a new gravel road that parallels the highway. Unlikely to meet a POlice, very little traffic and only one stop.
I very recently looked at the Tracer GT and the FJR. Sure, I'd like the extra performance of the FJR and I'd like the lesser weight of the Tracer, but bye bye gravel riding.
Tenere it is.

I've got a set of lowering links. Never installed them. I bought a Yammy lower seat, and that juuust works for me.
Fortunately, I am able to flat foot on level ground. I'm very astute at observing dongos or potholes in the road, particularly at intersections, cause that's where y'all gonna set foot and terra firma ain't there, and down you go....hmmm...a little experience on behalf of myself..
Just wish I had longer legs, as I like the dual sport bikes.

I was looking at maybe getting a new pup, as ours are getting on in years. Good grief how the price has shot up. $1200-2200 each.
