Ok not today but I've been insanely busy. I followed @~TABASCO~ 's lead and finally got a set of BD S2's mounted on the bars. I now have 180 degrees if not more of insanely well lit area. This is gonna really help out when I'm bombing the woods or looking for campsites late at night. Having now done it I honestly don't know why more people don't, think I might go to white and ditch the amber though.

Installed oem rear brake pads per what I read on the forums. The rotor are in ok condition and the out side pad was at 20% and inside at maybe 30%. Install took 5 mins at most.
Didnt mic the rear rotor last tire change, but it looks like they make the things outta brass. Cant believe how chewed up the rear rotor looks with such low miles. Next tire swap Ill be replacing the rotor and pads.

Some destroy the rotor in under 20k if your hard on the brakes. I use engine braking alot an like it at slow speeds. The front is 70%+ even after 40k miles. I should have no problem getting 65k+. I just got my oem filter and its 5k overdue per the forums. Unless you ride in the dirt alot then it's at 15k or less. I change the rotor if I feel big valleys in the rotor, if its burnt or the braking is inconsistent.

Installed the Tusk KLR 640 foot pegs. Fit perfectly and about a 15 minute installation.

Did you by chance mean KLR650 footpegs swap? Or is that the model number for Tusk?

I don't mind the factory pegs, but did prefer the wider knock off pivot pegs I had on the Versys.

A repeat of last year. Installed new shoes for the ride out of Baja using OBT and a tire jack (so I could do both tires at the same time). I installed the same tires last year in April - Shinko Big blocks. Rode all the salt roads, mission roads, mining roads, arroyos I could find leaving El Sargento BCS. Amazing all the un recognized trails and paths all over the Baja peninsula. Last years tires lasted just over 3000 miles. I completed the WABDR in August and on the ride back caught a nail. Double plugged it near Ellensburg. It lasted until a few weeks ago back in Baja.

Typo, fixed it now. I found the stock pegs painful to stand on for long periods. I’m hoping these wider ones will spread the load a bit better on the soles of my boots.

I wish there were other peg makers that had the same setup as the S10 pegs. Rubber for highway riding, steel grip for off-road riding when the rubber compresses.

I did this.
Other than a minor adjustment of the original "bracket" on the wire, and one of the delivered foam pad to the button of the battery, it was a perfect match.
I don't hear any difference in cranking speed, but then, I actually also did not have any problems with the original.
But why change it you think....and actually, I can't answer that question:p, because I don't really know. Maybe just because of reading on this forum;).
Voltage measured:
Ignition off 14,5 Vdc
Ignition on 13,5 Vdc (same during startup selvence)
During cranking the lowest I saw was 11,66 Vdc (Perfect :) )
Bike running 14,5 Vdc

And yes, I know that is very close to recomended charging voltage (which is 14,6 Vdc for this battery), and I actually don't know if I am measuring the actual voltage on battery, or the charging voltage, because this is the same as on battery when ignition off.
(5 min. later) Åh...I don't really know if the bike is capable off deliver over 14,5 Vdc.... anybode know?? or calculatet this??

Will see how it goes :D

This bag was on tail when I got the bike. I thought I'd try it as a tank bag. Not sure if I like it attached to handlebars

Surely the idea is to get the harness attached to the tank itself - any link between the tank bag & the bars/top yoke is intended to be simply a fail safe that only needs to be loosely attached so it doesn't affect the steering.

I found the wide pegs on mine did more harm than good. Both times I had a tip over, the peg pin and frame tabs bent. I went back to stock.

I would in no way tie my tank to my handlebars as you have now done. What happens when you want to do a full lock parking lot turn? What happens when you loose a front or rear tire and those bars want to go "full lock" at speed (its happened to me) yikes..... no.
