Wow Trevor, you really opened it up some more! What happened with your tuft testing?
It'll be interesting to see what you think over time. You could try taping over the hole and the remove the tape to see if there's a perceptible difference.
I didn't see much difference with the tufts with the smaller hole that we made - which is why I opened it up some more. Now I'm seeing the ones at the top of the screen flying up, instead of just dangling as they were before. Will post the vid soon!

What did I do?? NOTHING, Nada, Zilch!!!

Wasted my entire day dealing with my Dodge 2500 SLT 4x4 Diesel and incompetence run rampant at the dealership.

Long story short......tire recall does not apply to my Goodyear Silent Armor tires and the dealership just ate a $700 parts and labor repair for their incompetence on servicing and doing what I asked for and paid for!

I guess there are benefits to incompetence afterall!!!

I have several PMs from several of you. I'll work on some responses as soon as I get home and finish up some things.

Bummer, at least they ate it.

I spent a couple hours wrenching on the wife's F650GS2. New sprockets and chain. <shudder> Chains, WTF? Like BMW forgot how to make a shaft drive.... Oh wait, they did forget how to make a shaft drive. never mind.

No riding today but I rode to work yesterday for the second time this year. Yee-haaa!

Black Beauty parked outside at work got a lot of attention from clients. Interesting how bike people are all over it but then others walk past without even noticing.

Then I rode out to Tim Horton's coffee shop at lunch and got a few people talking there. I'd rather be incognito but it's hard to achieve that with such an awesome bike - especially as it's the only one in town!

I don't think I'll be able to ride to work again for a few days as we have a winter storm warning in effect and 15 cms of snow forecast for today, plus another 2 to 4 cm tomorrow. At least it will melt quickly.

Played around with a front fender raise today since I had my fender off to repair it. What do you guys think? 2" lift.

Is your bike named Erkel? ;)

Like the concept, but either it should be an inch, or ran all the way up.

Today..........I mounted/balanced new Bridgestone Battle Wings front and rear + I ran the ground connect wire from the tip over sensor under the back seat so I can play with the CO adjustment.

Looks great! Ride Report!!! ::017::
Thanks! It will probably be the weekend before I have a chance to try her out, but the screen appears to be high quality and (to me) looks great. I'm hopeful it solves the buffeting issues I've been having, and in Florida, the extra airflow is no problem 10 months of the year.

I ordered it Monday night USPS priority and it was here from California in two days. Cudos to Calsci for getting the order out same day, and it came with a bottle of cleaner, microfiber towel, and a complementary air gauge. I appreciate when companies do the little extras.

Ride report as soon as I get a chance...

I just had my first service done on the bike. All they found was a couple of fasteners missing on the right plastic. Also, as I was going to the dealer for the service I was playing around a little and wanted to see how the bike slows down with only the rear brake pedal used. Well, I could get the rear tire to lock up. I did this twice. I mentioned this to the dealer and they couldn't find any ABS error codes or anything else wrong. Their opinion was the rear tire might skid a little before the ABS kicks in. Anyone heard of this??

Per the owner's manual:
"The unified brake system does not function when the brake pedal is applied alone or before the brake lever is applied."

your speed when it locked up? I think the ABS only works over ~5km/h...
