I'm such a candy ass. If I have to install metal studs in/on my bike tires....I'm not riding. The side cars are cool. It's probably the only thing that makes riding there possible.

Purchased a used 2017 non-ES and came from a DR650. The size was initially intimidating and the weight is something I am learning to manage - especially in slow maneuvers. The bike has exceeded my expectations. I over researched for about a year and finally made the decision to purchase. The last trip was FL to AZ (out here waiting for the COVID-19 situation to pass) and the motorcycle performed amazingly!!! Comfortable, carried all my luggage with no issues, cruise control was great, etc.

Looking forward to the trip back and adding more mileage while traveling between work weeks.

I bought a 2013 with 19000 miles on 21 Mar 2020. I am 2500 miles into ownership: love. That is all I can say. In the twisties, it will hold a line. In the woods, the suspension will absorb major holes and ruts. I have completely forgotten about the Harley I rode for 22 years. My only complaint thus far is the amount of time I spend staring at it! It looks amazing covered in mud.

I have had mine since 2011 and was ordered in 2010. No problems or issues except the front turn signals rubber started to rot and I had to replace them last year. Fantastic Motorcycle!
Question?
Does anyone left on this forum know what happened to the guy that started this Thread? "Swagger"
He seamed to be a cool guy serving his country and in a number of hot spots. Wishing him well.

I still love the bike. 4200 miles into ownership. After several off road jaunts, the weight of the bike is predictable. I corrected the sticky throttle at slow speeds. Oil had accumulated around the butterfly valve in the throttle body and had become super sticky. Cleaned the throttle body. Perfect. Finally settled on a suspension setting. The only 2 upgrades I would like to do is brakes and seat. The rear brake is not a strong as I would like. And the seat will burn your ass at 100 miles. Overall, super happy with it. and the MPG is really good. Daily commute averages 43. Long trip average was as high as 48.6. I still have not bought my Adv Rider Costume. May do that soon.

I took my 2019 to the Cherohala Skyway and also did 50 or so miles on gravel forest roads in the mountains of the Cherokee National Forest. It did really well on gravel. Not as good as my WR250R, but good. One of the photo groups got some decent photos of me. The next day I took the family in the grocery getter.
