I have a Sena SMH10. My experience is it is a pain to pair even with another Sena. Once paired it works pretty well.

I just installed a set of Cardo Freecom 4+ headsets in our helmets, replacing Sena 20s'. My wife's old Sena headset still works just fine but mine has been drenched too many times and it's become unreliable. I went with the Cardo's because they are water PROOF.

Do let us know how the cardo compare to the Sena 20’s, I have had Sena 10’s and now I have four Sena 20’s Evo s (mine, my wife and two daughters). I always have issues getting the senas to work in a group with music, etc and want to change to cardo, but have so much invested in the Sean’s I wanted to hear some feedback on the Cardos before jumping ship.

Cardo proves to be waterproof. It works effortless as intercom with buddy or pillion.
Pairs with telephone and navigation alike, or even both. Play music? No problem.
Stopping at red lights the volume goes down automatically and up again when riding.
Batteries last a long time and all adjustments go easily on the telephone in BT-mode.

I would say what keeps you. (And no, I am not a shareholder or companymember.)
Just sharing experience….

I just upgraded from Cardo SH01 to Cardo Packtalk Black and the difference is a vast improvement. I can give voice commands at any speed and the system reacts instantly. Sound quality is much better and I can vouch for it being water proof. Unlike the SHO1 you can’t remove the battery to swap but you can remove the unit to charge it off your helmet which is a good idea. I’ve not tried a Sena so I can’t compare

Just upgraded from Sena 10R to Sena 50R. So far I like the phone app and mesh network. Still isn’t easy to Bluetooth to older units.
