Hey all,

Posting this up here as I'm hoping some of you might attend this year. There were a handful of us last year that attended in Baker City, Oregon. This event moves around the Western States and Provinces and is now in it's 24th year. It is gauranteed a good time.

Hope to see you there!

Great! So it looks like at least 4 Super Tenere's at this point (assuming Hal is going to ride his) and my Brother can make it. Bruce has some dirt loops setup on the rides page also. This should be a good time!

PS: I'm also probably going to try for a IBA B2B Challenge on the way home this year since it's about 1600 miles from the hotel to my place (8 miles from the southern border. Care to join? :)

so there's going to be some tenere's with funny plates running around the hood? Neat.
Loops look good. Do yourself a favor. Unless you absolutely must, stay out of town. I live here and avoid it like the plague.
Looking at some of the loops, they are going to be long days, e.g. #12. Highly recommended though.

Just saw Hal yesterday, we had a little tech session at the Bertrand Garage. New rear tire for me and tool box for Hal. He told me he intends to ride his Super Tenere to the event.

Absolutely! This event is usually a "Hotel" event that originally started around the Honda ST1100 and ST1300 but since many of us have moved on from the Honda platform, the rally has evolved to pretty much any bike. (We even have people that no longer ride show up). So the hotel will be in Calgary this year, but that's only for the 4 days of the rally (most people take extra time and live on the road as they work their way to the event.

Anyway, you should pop over even if you don't sign up for the rally! (Although I'd encourage you to do it, it's really a good time!) Hanging out in the evening making friends at the hotel bar and joining in on rides is what it's about (The signup fees cover the dinners and raffle prizes, etc).

Looking forward to exploring some of the gravel around the area for sure! I'll make #12 a priority!

Gotcha!
If you do decide to ride #12, give yourself lots of time. Also even though its in the summer...we get some seriously weird weather.
The same day I took that pic of highwood pass, I came home via longview...rode through this:

but then again I got to ride powder face

not 100% sure if I will make it. It's the other end of town, and a riding weekend to boot.
Got oil to burn!

That said, if I'm in town for the day, and you want a local guide, I can likely do the loop with you.
