Have a good link for one of these? I need something for the rock squirrels that have been undermining my house. I haven't had much luck trapping and they just keep mining away. Can't gas them out because it's under the house; I'd do that with an outbuilding. Any and all suggestions gratefully accepted. Wife and city say I can't use my Glock Mod 45.
How about dry ice on/in the burrows. Carbon dioxide settles and they are already buried.

What about sonic repellers? I used one under my carport after the squirrels ate the main wiring harness in my 6 month old Jeep. Seemed to work, but I didn't have the burrowing type.

Thanks, I've been thinking about that concept. I have one that I used after I found a rat family nesting in my gas grill that has prevented further invasions. I'll set that into one of the openings and see if it causes the desired reaction. What I don't know is how much the dirt walls and bends in their tunnels may attenuate the signal. Worth a try.

A couple of good cats or a Miniature Dachshund will fix this problem. We have a couple of outside cats and never have any problems with mice, lizards, moles or squirrels. Or any other critter they can get to.

I've got so many field mice & rats, that I'd have to have a heard of cats. I've gone through about 9lbs of rat bait in two weeks. I can't have the cats because if the cat eats a poisoned rat . . . . .

My neighbor’s cats ate the coil wire in two on my almost new f150 4x4. BB gun (fun) and mouse traps are keeping them kinda at bay. They were getting on everthang. While I was at the mechanic. He showed me an Expedtion that had the main harness eat up bad. $1000’s of damage.

Yeah that’s exactly what we’re trying to prevent. Several cars in our village got those huge bills for destroyed wiring, and cars being at the shop for weeks to repair.

Cats?! Are you sure the cats weren't in there chasing mice/rats/squirrels. Not saying you're wrong, but around here, cats have never been the culprit(s). My nemesis was squirrels. $1,800 damage. Don't forget, comprehensive insurance covers the damage.

Didn't know squirrels could get insurance...

I'm constantly coming across cables that my housecat uses as chewing gum when she's bored.

Those martens look like they could make short work of anything with their teeth.

Guy at the Ford place said it’s common since the wiring insulation is different now. My motor was covered with kittie tracks

Yes, wire insulation is made out of soy. Can't have efficient, not eaten by mice, last forever, petroleum based insulation. . . . that would be the end of the world.
