In my opinion nothing like a Henry lever action. 45. I have yet to feel anything close to it. Theres something primal about it.

I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide.
I've seen the .45 moon clips before, but I wanted to see where the .38 clips were connected. It was hard to tell from the picture (at first) but, I couldn't tell if they were connected at the inside or outside.

Jerry Miculek, and Bob Munden are two of the G.O.A.T. Mr. Miculek's daughter is no slouch either.

The only outside ones I am aware of are the half moons for the 45. Miculek's whole dang family are good shooters. His wife after 100 years of helping him teach classes is a total badass too!

Here's the 5 shots from the company that makes them. Random note if you ever buy one, only buy TK clips. The others Ive seen are inferior.

Picked up this from a friend. A little extra stippling on the grip module, flat trigger from the XL model and some fine turning to make it even smoother.

Made a quick OWB holster for it out of some scrap pieces that came out so nice I'm hard pressed to make "the good one"!

I've noticed that flat triggers are becoming all the rage. Maybe it's the old dog, new trick thing, but you can either shoot. . . . or you can't. I feel the trigger's internals make a bigger difference that whether it's flat or curved. The holster looks good, but, I'm an IWB kinda guy. Nobody's going to know that I'm carrying until it's time to let them know.

Cold weather time here in Michigan so there's always a cover shirt or fleece. OWB is more comfortable and with the speed clips, very convenient and I've got it setup so it's right in my side at 3 o'clock . I'll make an IWB for it soon enough, and may have to re-make the OWB when I decide what light to mount on it.

Utah has legislation working its way through to eliminate the need for a concealed permit.
In California, firearm laws are very lax and a non issue. We have open carry and no need for concealed permit. As long as your firearms are registered their are no restrictions on how you carry or use. It's one of the many good reasons to live here. And the fact that ammo is readily available and cheap.

Firearm owners have no limit on magazine capacity. 18 rounds and and one chambered. The only issue is finding the high capacity clips. They are hard to come by unless you go to a gun show.

I'm fortunate enough to live right around the corner from a county park that has an open field and dirt backstop for practice. In my county there are no restrictions where you can shoot as long as you are over 150 yards from a dwelling or building. We have so much open land where I live you can pretty much target practice within a mile of my home.

The "available, cheap ammo" is a dead give-a-way. I saw a local add for $50 for 50 rds of .45acp. The only ammo, around here, that there's plenty of, is shotgun. Doesn't make sense to me. If I'm buying for home defense, shotgun can't be beat.

I’ve got a question for the US members. I’m a fan of mr. Miculek and Scott (Kentucky ballistics). I noticed in their videos and links to the sponsors that there is an ammo shortage. How is that possible? There are so many ammo producers worldwide. Even here in the Netherlands ammo is available.

Due to the shit storm over here, I can only assume that people are hoarding it. I heard the other day, that there is beginning to be a primer shortage. Don't know if it's true or not. I agree with you, as many manufacturers that there are. . . .

Nothing has changed politically in the Netherlands recently has it? So, there's no mad rush to get as much ammo as possible.

There's also a slight chance that covid has caused some of the ammo manufacturers to scale back , or even stop, production.

You could be right with your thoughts, but it is odd stuff to hoard. Food, medication etc I can understand but bullets? Maybe it’s just something I can’t get my head around.
I just had a quick look and all is available over here, all brands. Maybe it is that it’s much heavier regulated over here, and we use only a small amount of what is available worldwide. Who knows.
Thanks

The average person over here doesn't think this way either. But, there a lot of "preppers" that are getting ready for the fall of civilization. I once used to scoff at them. But, nowadays, I'm not as sure as I used to be, that they're wrong.

+1 for me. Imho, one of the best for the job. That being said, the new Shield EZ may be even better. 9mm is the largest caliber that they make, but everything about it truly is "EZ", and it has the 2.0 trigger.

NOT going political, but every time blue gets in office, gun sales go stupid crazy. Not taking sides, just stating a fact.
